The Fly Sheet With the BEST Insect Protection AND Airflow
The Mosquito Mesh Adjusta-Fit® Fly Sheet is the best for insect protection and
airflow. The 350D extra fine "window screen" nylon mesh protects against the
widest range of biting insects, such as tiny gnats, mosquitos, and flies. It's
extremely breathable and stays cool in direct sunlight, providing 60% UV
protection. The fabric withstands playful turnout, making this perfect for your
horse to wear all summer with a 2-year warranty!
What's the Difference Between Fits?
This fly sheet is available in four patented fits: VTEK® Wither Relief, V-Free®
Wither Relief, Attached Neck V-Free® Wither Relief, and Cutback Wither.
Our VTEK ® Wither Relief fly sheets are designed to prevent rubbing and relieve
pressure on moderate to high withers. The upright shoulder and shape over the
withers are designed to fit Thoroughbreds, Warmbloods, Appendix horses, or those
with upright shoulder conformation. It includes an extended drop to cover a
deeper heartgirth and they are shaped with darts at the hips to give a more
contoured fit around the rump. Extends 6 to 8 inches onto the mane with fleece
placed where the mane meets the sheet, further preventing rubbing.
Our V-Free® Wither Relief fly sheets are designed to prevent rubbing and relieve
pressure on low to moderate-withered horses. With the larger neck opening and
sloped neck line that covers the shoulders, this fit is designed specifically
for Arabians, Quarter Horses, Stock breed horses, or those with sloped shoulder
conformation. The drop on these sheets is longer than a stable sheet, allowing a
slight wrap around the barrel. Darts at the hip form a contoured fit around the
rump. V-Free® Wither Relief sheets begin where the mane ends, leaving the mane
uncovered with fleece placed where the mane meets the sheet, further preventing
rubbing.
Our Attached Neck V-Free® Wither Relief fly sheets fit the same as our V-Free®
Wither Relief sheets but come integrated with an attached neck cover. The neck
cover is attached with a 15oz lycra that stretches as the horse puts their head
down to graze. This stretchy panel prevents the rest of the sheet from slipping
forward and maintains coverage no matter the conditions.
Our Cutback Wither fly sheets cut away at the withers to provide a rub-free fit
for horses with high-head carriage and a lower wither. The larger neck opening
and sloped net line cut back for the withers make this the perfect design for
Arabians, Fresians, Saddlebreds, and Tennessee Walkers.
Fly Fit Guide
Adjusta-Fit® Your Sheet for the Perfect Fit!
From the widest Warmblood to the narrowest Thoroughbred, our patented
Adjusta-Fit® system allows you to customize the fit of the neck opening to fit
any horse. Whether your horse is wide or narrow or has a high or low head
carriage doesn't matter. This unique feature allows you to fit any width or head
carriage, saving money and time when blanketing your horses.
Choose Between an Open or Closed Front Option
The open front option features double front snaps with hook and loop closures,
allowing you to easily adjust the fly sheet for the perfect amount of "snugness"
at the front of the chest. Plus, the snaps make it easy to put on and remove.
The closed front option has a "deep v" front that allows your horse to put their
head down without pulling the blanket forward. The lack of hardware and velcro
eliminates any rubbing, which makes this option extremely comfortable.
Shoulder Area Designed to Prevent Rubs
The shoulder and chest area is lined with 70D breathable nylon that keeps hair
slick and prevents rubbing.
Better Gusset Design for Additional Freedom
The reinforced gussets extend higher and more forward to allow a greater range
of motion when your horse is getting up from lying down, walking, or playing in
the pasture.
Closure Options for Better Protection
Choose between a surcingle or bellyband closure for comfort and protection, with
brass-plated hardware that resists corrosion from fly sprays and detergents.
The criss-cross surcingle closure option adjusts to keep the fly sheet from
sliding side to side. Comes with locking bands and detachable elastic leg straps
for increased security.
The bellyband closure option protects from flies and midges biting along the
sensitive underbelly line. Hardware is positioned to avoid rubbing or poking
while your horse is lying down, and the rear surcingle includes a stretch panel
for more give as the horse moves since the proper fit is with the bellyband snug
and flush to the belly.
Large Tail Cover for Extra Protection
The extra-long tail cover provides additional protection from flies attacking
the sensitive area underneath the tail.
Reflective Patches to Find Your Horse in the Dark
Easily locate your horse when it's dark outside with the highly reflective 3M
patches placed strategically on the rear flanks and tail cover.
Leg Straps Included
Set the sheet at the optimum snugness with the included detachable leg straps
that help keep the sheet in place. They adjust from 20" to 38" and stretch as
the horse moves with double brass-plated snaps for easy on and off.
2-Year Limited Warranty
This fly sheet has been constructed with extra care and is under warranty for
two years. Straps, surcingles, assembly, and hardware are guaranteed for the

Like all Schneider blankets & sheets, this fly sheet is great! Wonderful fit
that can be custom adjusted thanks to the velcro on the shoulders. The
reflective tape makes spotting my horse at night so much easier. And of course
keeps the bugs off. Durable, stays in place. My American Pharoah gelding puts it
to the test when let out for pasture time and the sheet stays in place.

I HAVE A SHEET THAT NEEDS TO BE REPAIRED. DO YOU SELL A BLANKET REPAIR KIT FOR
THIS SHEET? IT'S BEEN OVER 2 YEARS SO THE WARRANTY EXPIRED. I JUST ORDERED
ANOTHER ONE BUT I WOULD LIKE TO FIX THE OTHER ONE. THESE DO TEND TO RIP EVERY
YEAR BUT THEY ARE THE BEST IN THE HUMIDITY. THANK YOU!

repair kit for these fly sheets. You might try our blanket repair tape or if it

MY HORSE IS USING THIS FLY SHEET AND IT'S TRAPPING FLIES UNDERNEATH AND IS
CAUSING MORE PROBLEMS THAN NOT HAVING A SHEET. I HAVE THE CLOSED FRONT AND
SURCINGLES. I'VE HAD IT ABOUT 3 WEEKS AND EVERY TIME HE HAS IT ON NUMEROUS FLIES
GET TRAPPED UNDER THE SHEET AND BITE HIM REPEATEDLY. IT SEEMS TO FIT WELL AND
THE SURCINGLES ARE FAIRLY SNUB, BUT THE STIFFNESS OF THE MATERIAL SEEMS TO MAKE
IT FLARE OUT A BIT AT THE SHOULDER AND THE TAIL FLAP. BUT THE FLIES SEEM TO BE
GETTING UP UNDER HIS BELLY AND GETTING TRAPPED ON HIS BACK AND SIDES. THE FIRST
TIME USING IT I BROUGHT HIM IN BECAUSE HE WAS RUNNING. HE CAME IN SWEATY FROM
RUNNING AND WITH BLOODSTAINS ALL OVER HIM FROM THE BITES. I SMASHED 5 OR 6 DEER
FLIES THAT WERE UNDER THE SHEET. AM I DOING SOMETHING WRONG? HE IS ONLY TURNED
OUT 2-3 HOURS A DAY. I TRIED HAND GRAZING HIM WITH THE SHEET ON AND NOTICED
FLIES GETTING TRAPPED UP UNDER IT ALMOST IMMEDIATELY. HELP! CAN I RETURN THIS
FOR SOMETHING THAT MIGHT WORK BETTER?

Verified ReplyVerified Reply - CheriIt could be the material that doesn't
conform to the horse just yet. Anywhere there is a gap or under the belly area,
flies can get in. As the sheet breaks in, it should conform to the horse for a
closer fit and hopefully stop flies from being trapped. If you would like, you
could return the sheet for a different material that may work out better for
you. You can find the return label on our website (under Customer Service, click
on Return FAQ). Fit, performance and wearing comfort are very important to

HOW LONG IS THE BLANKET FROM THE TOPLINE TO THE BOTTOM OF THE SIDE? I HAVE A
VERY SMALL MARE, BLANKETS ARE USUALLY TO LARGE IN THE SHOULDERS AND/OR TO LONG
(THEY GO PAST HER KNEES) SHE'S A SIZE 74 BUT IS ONLY 14.3. TRYING TO MAKE SURE
ITS NOT TO LONG.

WHEN A HORSE ROLLS IN THE DIRT, DOES THE DIRT PENETRATE THROUGH THE MESH?

with window screens. If your horse is rolling in a dirt area or in an arena, the
dust from the area can filter through the mesh. Debris, such as shavings, will

your horse is measuring at 71", the rule of thumb is to go up a size. All horses
are built differently, so if your horse is on the leaner side, you may want to
size down and if your horse is on the stockier side, you may want to go up. Was

fly sheet on in the midwest summers. The Mosquito mesh is kind of like a window
screen material that lets air pass through freely. This sheet is the coolest of

HOW TO MEASURE A HORSE FOR A BLANKET
The most accurate and easiest way to determine your horse’s blanket size is to
measure along the side of their body, from chest to tail. First, stand the horse
square on a flat surface. Measure from the center of the chest, straight back to
the very edge of the tail. Make sure to measure along the widest part of their
shoulder and hindquarters. The number of inches measured in this way is your
horse’s size. Look on the size chart for any Schneiders blanket for this number
of inches to order your horse’s perfect size.
