CONFERENCEBIT Conference Planning Made Simple TRACK YOUR LETTERS Your Dashboard For Letter Requests EXTRACREDIT.INFO Free Survey Roster Tool CONTACT US HOME OUR JOB IS TO FURTHER YOURS. AcademyBit serves academics, administrators, and professionals that work in educational settings. We understand the unique needs of educators. From planning and organizing a conference to bolstering student confidence in survey anonymity, our tools are created to aid your research, teaching, and service efforts. If you are an educator and there is any part of your job that we can make easier with technology, please let us know. We are always in development with new tools tailored to meeting your needs. We are also proud to have been able to help WomenAlsoKnowStuff create their online searchable database! CONFERENCEBIT CONFERENCE PLANNING MADE SIMPLE Check It Out! YOUR ONE-STOP SPOT FOR YOUR NEXT ACADEMIC CONFERENCE ConferenceBit is an all-inclusive conference planning, organization, and hosting tool. We have streamlined the process of calling for proposals, creating conference events (panels, roundtables, poster sessions, etc.), and publicizing conference information. ConferenceBit’s features were designed specifically with small to medium sized conferences in mind. CALL FOR PROPOSALS AND REVIEW SUBMISSIONS Host your call for papers using a customized URL and conference home page. Receive, sort, and rate paper, poster, or roundtable submissions. Accept or reject proposals. Ability to assign multiple administrators or section heads to review submissions or create events. CREATE CONFERENCE EVENTS AND MANAGE PARTICIPANTS Create and schedule conference events such as panels, poster sessions, luncheons, receptions, or workshops. Field in-house surveys for participants (e.g. transportation needs, dietary restrictions, etc.) where responses are tied to user database. Ability to sort and message participants. Publish your conference’s itinerary. AUTOMATE YOUR CALL FOR PROPOSALS Users can submit proposals for review and upload completed papers as Word or PDF documents. Attendees can then confirm their participation in panels or roundtables. Also, the system allows users to be assigned and to confirm additional panel service roles such as serving as chair or discussant. MESSAGE INDIVIDUALLY OR BY GROUP Administrators have the ability to sort users into various groups (e.g. those that have not submitted a file for their paper, users that have not yet confirmed their discussant role, etc.) and broadcast messages. Administrators can view and contact users based on their proposal status. FILTER PROPOSALS BY KEYWORDS Building panels and other conference events has never been easier. Users select from administrator-chosen keywords to identify the topic(s) of their proposal, making it fast and simple to group submissions by topic. Administrators can then assign these filtered results to panels using a simple drag-and-drop interface. CUSTOMIZABLE CONFERENCE HOME PAGE Tailor the look of your conference landing page. Leave a custom message to users on the conference homepage (e.g. instructions, welcome message, etc.) with the ability to personalize the page with a background photo. GENERATE A PRINTABLE CONFERENCE ITINERARY Once conference events and times are finalized, generate an itinerary that lists all conference events (panels, roundtables, poster sessions, luncheons, etc.) by time and location. In addition to an online searchable version of your itinerary, users can also download the itinerary directly as a PDF. Administrators can also mail the itinerary to users all at once. SEARCH YOUR ITINERARY OR FILTER BY KEYWORDS Your published itinerary can be searched by users so that they may easily locate information on their own panels or roundtables. Itineraries can also be filtered by keyword to produce an interest-based list. Asynchronous conferences will automatically sort published itinerary items by type. EXTRACREDIT.INFO FREE SURVEY ROSTER TOOL DESIGNED FOR PARTICIPANT PRIVACY Check It Out! DESIGNED WITH STUDENT SAMPLES IN MIND ExtraCredit.info was created to assist in the collection of personal information for online or in-person student surveys in a way that does not compromise anonymity or student confidence in anonymity. Easily add the names of professors or college courses that are participating in the study to allow students to quickly select how they would like to receive their extra credit for participating in the survey. COLLECT RESPONDENT INFORMATION WITHOUT COMPROMISING SURVEY ANONYMITY ExtraCredit.info is entirely independent from survey collection sites (e.g. Qualtrics, SurveyMonkey, etc.). Students' personal information such as their name, university affiliation, professor, or course/section number cannot be tied back to their survey responses. Whereas it is possible to personally identify individuals and their responses when using the same platform to complete the study and to collect personal information, even when the information is collected via a different survey. For example, surveys often collect IP as well as geo addresses, which makes it possible to merge "anonymous" study responses with follow-up surveys that ask for personal information. With ExtraCredit.info, it is not possible to connect survey responses with any identifying information. IMPROVE RESPONDENT CONFIDENCE IN ANONYMITY While personal information can always be collected by directing students to a different survey at the end of a study, students sometimes express hesitancy in completing surveys or entering personal information when the follow-up survey (where they enter their name etc.) has the same look, feel, and name (Qualtrics) as the study they just completed. Students have greater confidence in the anonymity of the process when the site they are directed to enter their information on is an entirely separate website, server, and name as the site where they completed the survey. PROTECT STUDENT TRUST. GO BEYOND IRB. Built with academics in mind. Our job is to further yours. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Check It Out!
