A woman has fought off a man who allegedly tried to abduct her as she was
walking in a park in Melbourne's east in the late afternoon.
Police said the 36-year-old woman was walking through Churchill National Park in
Lysterfield South on the North Boundary Track, just before the Stonemasons
Track, at about 4.15pm on Saturday when a man approached her from behind.
The woman was wearing headphones and walking when the man grabbed her around the
waist and put a hand over her mouth, police have been told.
Police are searching for this man after an incident in Lysterfield South.

He then tried to drag her to the ground.
The Dandenong North woman managed to get out of the man's grip, run from the
area and call triple zero.
Casey Crime Investigation Unit Detective Acting Senior Sergeant Luke Shore said
the incident was distressing.

"It's concerning behaviour and we are treating this as an isolated incident," he
said.
Shore said the victim was not physically injured.
"She is shaken up by the incident, she is traumatised by the event."
Police have released a computer-generated image of a man they want to speak to
over the incident.
