SECRETARIAT

The United States extends its congratulations to the Government of Botswana and
all Batswana for their selection as the future hosts of the Kimberley Process
Permanent Secretariat.


BOTSWANA ACHIEVES UNAIDS 95-95-95 TARGETS WITH SUPPORT FROM THE U.S. GOVERNMENT

On July 31, 2022, the Government of Botswana and U.S. Government partners
celebrated Botswana’s HIV Response Achievements at the 24th International AIDS
Conference in Montreal, Canada.


THE 2024 DIVERSITY VISA PROGRAM IS NOW OPEN!

The #DV2024 Diversity Visa Program is open from Oct 5 to Nov 8, 2022 and allows
those from countries with low U.S. immigration rates, who meet eligibility
requirements, to enter for a chance to apply for a U.S. immigrant visa.
dvprogram.state.gov is the ONLY way to enter.


WHAT IS THE UNITED STATES DOING IN RESPONSE TO COVID-19 IN BOTSWANA?

As of October 2022, the U.S. government has provided more than $21.9 million in
assistance to mitigate the health and socioeconomic impacts of COVID-19 for the
people of Botswana.
