Your support will help us provide services and programs that keep them engaged, encouraged, and connected. Urban Pathways provides essential services to 1,000 at-risk and homeless New Yorkers every day including 850 men and women living in our transitional supportive-housing programs across the city. URBAN PATHWAYS: BY THE NUMBERS VANESSA'S STORY When we last spoke to Vanessa, she was working, had recently moved into Howard Amron House - a permanent housing residence, and she had been studying for her G.E.D. with plans to become a Peer Specialist. Soon after, Vanessa tested positive for COVID-19 and later became unemployed. After losing her job and having her G.E.D classes cancelled due to the pandemic, Vanessa became withdrawn and discouraged. She reached back out to Urban Pathways, and in less than a month, the UPwards Employment Program team found Vanessa a full-time job, with benefits. Read Vanessa’s update story here.
