HOW TO PLACE YOUR ORDER


1. CHECK NECESSARY FEES

 * Use our Fee Calculator to estimate the necessary cost for filing your
   Japanese national phase application.
 * Just answer five simple questions to estimate the cost.




2. CREATE YOUR ACCOUNT

 * An email address and a password are all you need.
 * Once you’ve created your account, you can register additional information
   (e.g., your company/firm name and additional email addresses to be CC’d) to
   your account settings at any time.




3. REQUEST CONFLICT CHECK

 * First fill out a simple form.
 * Then upload the following document(s).
   1. A copy of the publication (WO****/********) of your PCT international
      application if it has already been published, or a copy of the PCT request
      form, along with the claims, the specification, the abstract, and the
      drawings of the application if the application has not been published yet.
   2. If the PCT international application has been drafted in a non-English
      language, an English translation accompanying the application.
 * Any preliminary amendments and/or other relevant documents can be uploaded at
   this stage or later.
 * You will receive an email from us within several days once you click the
   submit button. The email will include a URL to the next step (filing) if
   there are no conflict issues.




4. SUBMIT FILING REQUEST

 * Upload any preliminary amendments and/or other relevant documents (e.g., if
   you have any particular requests regarding the application, please take this
   opportunity to upload a letter to that effect as well). This will also be the
   final opportunity to upload documents relating to the instant application.
 * You will receive an email from us within several days once we’ve conducted a
   final check as to whether all necessary documents have been sent to us and
   your JP national phase application is ready for filing. The email will
   include a URL to the next step (payment) if there are no issues.




5. PAYMENT

 * Please check your invoice from the URL in the email, and proceed to payment
   (credit cards accepted; let us know via email if you prefer wire transfer).
 * Once we have confirmed your payment, we will file the JP national phase
   application with the JPO.
 * To allow us to file your application in a timely fashion, please complete
   payment no later than 3 business days before the 30-month deadline.




6. FILING COMPLETE

We will keep you updated on any further progress in the prosecution of your
application.
