HUMAN TOA METRU

AN IDEA I TINKERED AROUND WITH.

 

I'VE SEEN A FEW DESIGNS AND CONCEPTS BASED ON THE IDEA OF BIONICLE CHARACTERS
ENVISIONED AS HUMAN INSTEAD OF BIOMECHANICAL. I THOUGHT I'D HAVE A QUICK DRAFT
ATTEMPT IN LDD DESIGNING HUMAN TOA CHARACTERS.

 

I DO LIKE THE TOA MATA/NUVA, BUT THE TOA METRU APPEALED TO ME MORE. VAKAMA BEING
ONE OF MY FAVORITE TOA METRU.

 

THE MINIFIG DESIGNS ARE PLAIN AND BASIC. CLOTHING WISE I ENVISIONED THE TOA
METRU TO LOOK QUITE URBAN/CYBERPUNKISH (THINK HOODIES/JACKETS WITH BITS OF
CYBERPUNK ARMOR/BODY WEAR).

 

ALAS LDD CAN ONLY DO SO MUCH IN TERMS OF MINIFIG HEADS. CHARACTERS LIKE NUJU AND
MATAU WOULD PROBABLY HAVE EYEPIECES AND A BETTER GOGGLE DESIGN ON THE HEAD
PRINTS.

    I think they're great, and a really cool concept. Way back when, I was kind
    of hoping that the Toa would all eventually become human/biological. With
    the introduction of protodermis, the story actually was/could have headed in
    that direction. My personal 'fantasy' was that the transformation would
    occur via Galidor-type elements. Galidor was kind of synchronous with
    Bonicle at the time. Oh well...NICE FIGS!!

    WhiteBrix it would have been interesting to see the characters 'evolve' into
    human like creatures. Galidor was such a good step for Lego to take design
    wise. It would be interesting to see more human elements on the Toa and
    matoran.

    agree on the idea of the team having a cyberpunk vibe to them
