U.S Microelectronics Industrial Base Assessment

This study of the U.S. microelectronics industrial base is being carried out by
the Department of Commerce’s Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS), as mandated
by Congress in Section 9904 of the William M. (Mac) Thornberry National Defense
Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 2021 (2021 NDAA, also 15 U.S.C. 4654).

The survey is to be completed via the Microsoft Excel-formatted survey available
here and submitted to BIS via email at SemiconductorStudy@bis.doc.gov.

BIS survey support staff is available at the above email to answer questions and
assist in completion of the survey, and we highly recommend using the survey
support team for any and all survey-related questions. Our primary goal is to
collect the required information while minimizing burden to survey respondents;
should you encounter difficulties we can work together to facilitate the
survey’s completion.
