LCD MONITOR CARE TIPS



A liquid crystal monitor is a whimsical and delicate thing that requires
delicate and systematic care. There is no need to wait until it gets very dirty,
and it will be clearly visible that it needs cleaning. In a neglected state, it
is much more difficult to wash it, and there is a likelihood of irreparable
defects appearing on the surface of the screen. Even if there is no visible
contamination, it is necessary to carry out routine cleaning every 2-3 days.




DRY CLEANING THE MONITOR

Various technical devices are used for dry cleaning of a liquid crystal monitor.
Non-contact cleaning is carried out using a blower, rubber bulb or vacuum
cleaner. A jet of air is sent to the monitor, and dust is simply blown off the
surface. Contact dry cleaning is the cleaning of the screen with synthetic
bristles with soft bristles to remove dust. Starting at the top of the screen,
dust is swept down in smooth movements. Before starting cleaning, remove the
keyboard from the table so that dust from the monitor does not fall on it. The
plastic back and side panels are cleaned with moist, lint-free wipes. Dry curing
takes just a couple of minutes and keeps the matrix in perfect condition.
Important. Unplug your computer when cleaning. This should be done with any type
of cleaning, dry or wet.




CLEANING YOUR MONITOR WITH WET

Regulations for wet cleaning of LCD screens and monitors with an electro-ray
tube differ. The matrices do not have anti-reflective and protective coatings,
so they must be handled with care, without subjecting them to gross physical
force. In case you overdo it, you can push the matrix, and in fact, the repair
of the matrix of a laptop and a monitor is practically not carried out - only a
replacement. Special wet wipes made of non-woven material are used for care. In
a circular motion, without pressing hard, the matrix is wiped with a damp cloth,
starting from the center to the edge. Too dirty areas should not be rubbed with
force, it is better to return to this place several times. When the screen is
free of dirt, wipe it off with a dry cloth. For this, soft fiber cloths are
suitable. It is not allowed to use ordinary towels or rags for household needs,
since damage to the liquid crystal matrix in this case is almost inevitable.
Council. To avoid scratching the surface of the monitor, check the firmness of
the nap on the selected fabric. It should be particularly soft, but not leave
lint after wiping the screen. You can use flannel or eyeglass tissues. Along
with dry wipes, special sprays are used that are used to clean monitors, but be
careful, they should not contain ethyl alcohol. When using a liquid monitor care
product, keep in mind the basic rule: the liquid should not be applied directly
to the screen. First, the cloth is moistened with a cleaner, and only then the
matrix is rubbed. In this case, the movements of the hand should be directed
from top to bottom, without effort. If cloths in tubes are chosen as a liquid
crystal screen care product, and they often dry out, use them in conjunction
with the spray. As a last resort, you can use non-synthetic paper napkins dipped
in isopropyl alcohol for care.
If you are not completely sure that the selected product is suitable for
cleaning the LCD monitor, try it first on an old monitor (if available).
