WHAT’S HAPPENING:

Many are blaming Joe Biden for the rapid increase in gas prices. All throughout
the year, the cost of fuel has been rising. Some Republicans accuse Biden of
doing it deliberately, to force his “green” agenda. But recently, even Biden has
tried to lower the prices.

His solutions have not been great. He begged foreign nations to pump more oil.
He released millions of barrels of our strategic oil reserves (selling many of
them to China). But the one thing he has not done could have a major impact on
the crisis. And Manchin is demanding he does it.

> Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.) is asking President Joe Biden to restart
> construction of the Keystone XL pipeline as gas prices continue to skyrocket
> across the country…
> 
> “I continue to call on President Biden to responsibly increase energy
> production here at home and to reverse course to allow the Keystone XL
> pipeline to be built which would have provided our country with up to 900,000
> barrels of oil per day from Canada, one of our closest allies.”

Joe Manchin, a moderate Democrat from West Virginia, called on Biden to reverse
his killing of the Keystone XL pipeline. That project was approved by Trump and
would have brought billions of dollars in wealth to the country. Not to mention,
a tremendous amount of fuel a day.



Biden killed it, in a move that some say violated the law.

Around the same time, Biden implemented policies far-left environmentalists have
been demanding for years. He canceled drilling on federal land and implemented
other regulations that crippled American energy production. The result has been
skyrocketing prices.

Biden seems unwilling to change his decisions. His energy secretary even laughed
in America’s face when asked about doing so.

But Manchin carries a lot of weight on Capitol Hill. Without his support, many
pieces of legislation won’t get passed. Being a moderate, he is no fan of
radical “green” policies that hurt his state’s economy (West Virginia relying on
the energy sector for jobs and income).

The question ends up being, will Joe listen to him? Will Biden reject the
demands of environmentalists (who do not represent Americans) and heed the call
from this senator?

I guess we’ll have to wait and see.
