OPEN GARDEN: DROP-IN HARVEST

Community members are welcomed to the garden on Wednesday, Dec. 11 from 10AM to
12PM to harvest produce being grown. Introduced to space and garden guidelines.
Community members are then given harvesting tools and the host demonstrates how
to properly weigh, log, wash and bundle produce. Community members take their
harvests home!

WINTER HERBAL WORKSHOP: HERBAL FIRE CIDERS!

Join us on Saturday, Dec. 14 from 10AM to 1PM for the third seasonal herbal
workshop of the year! We will be gathering herbs and learning the benefits of
making fire cider for the winter time to come and boost our immunity.

SENIOR GARDENING

Join us on Monday Dec. 9 and 16 from 10AM to 11:30AM for a series of workshops
designed for senior citizens who are interested in gardening. The class will
feature educational activities, hands-on craft sessions in the garden, a cooking
demo with fresh produce, and a field trip to the North Richmond Farm!

Join us for after school activities at the farm Dec. 11 and 18 for Pre-K to 5th

Urban Tilth inspires, hires, and trains local residents to cultivate
agriculture, feed our community, and restore relationships to land to build a
more sustainable food system, within a just and healthier community.


SOWING THE SEEDS OF COLLECTIVE POWER

NORTH RICHMOND FARM PROJECT

The development of our farm builds on Urban Tilth’s two decades of bringing to
life a resident-led vision for healthy food access, local jobs, and community
empowerment. Since 2014, we’ve partnered with County Supervisor John Gioia’s
office to transform a county-owned vacant lot into a flourishing community hub,
and are now expanding this project to 10 acres to create a center for urban
agriculture, education, and organizing.

With the continued support of our diverse funders and community members, this
vibrant hub will become a cornerstone of collective health and sustainable food
justice in North Richmond.
