Dear Formes de Luxe Beauty Community,

The luxury industry has less wind in its sails these days and industry players
are skittish about what’s to come. And yet, the premium product pipeline isn’t
at a standstill. In the burgeoning market for baby and children’s fragrance,
entry-level products with hefty price tags remain in demand. On the niche front
too the slowdown isn’t showing just yet judging from recent launches from Octo
(a debut €169 moisturizer) and Mercedes Maybach, whose 100ml eaux de parfums
retail for €295. One thing for certain is that inspiration is alive and well.
Speaking of which, don’t miss our voyage through de toutes beautés ! an
exhibition at the Louvre in Paris that explores beauty rituals and canons
through the ages.
