UKRAINE’S HUMAN RIGHTS OMBUDSMAN CLAIMS CHILDREN INCLUDING BOY, 11, WERE RAPED
BY OCCUPYING RUSSIAN TROOPS

Exclusive

LYUDMYLA DENISOVA SAID THE “LEVEL OF BRUTALITY OF THE ARMY OF TERRORISTS AND
EXECUTIONERS OF THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION KNOWS NO BOUNDS”

Ukraine’s human rights ombudsman Lyudmyla Denisova has made unverified claims
Russian troops raped children during their occupation of the country.

Miss Denisova alleges a 14-year-old girl is pregnant after being raped by five
men in the eastern town of Bucha – where evidence emerged this week that Putin’s
trooped slaughtered civilians .

She also alleged an 11-year-old boy was raped in Bucha in front of his mother as
she was tied to a chair.

In another disturbing claim she said a 20-year-old woman was raped by “three
occupiers in all possible ways at once” in the Kyiv suburb of Irpin, which
Putin’s forces partially occupied.

She wrote on Facebook: “The level of brutality of the army of terrorists and
executioners of the Russian Federation knows no bounds – raped children…

“There is no place on earth or in hell where racist criminals can hide from
retribution!

“Rape is strictly prohibited by Article 27 of the 1949 Geneva Convention
relative to the Protection of Civilian Persons in Time of War.”

“I appeal to the UN Commission for Investigation Human Rights Violations during
the Russian Military Invasion of Ukraine and the expert mission set up by the
OSCE participating States in accordance with the Moscow Mechanism to take into
account these facts of Russian war crimes in Ukraine.

“The racist occupiers must bear the strictest responsibility”

In a later Facebook post she told how she has met with the UN High Commissioner
for Human Rights Michelle Bachelet and told her about the “violation of the
fundamental right to life of Ukrainian citizens by the occupying forces”.

She also told how she discussed “mass killings of civilians in temporarily
occupied and surrounded by enemy cities of Ukraine and bullying of racist
soldiers against civilians of Ukraine”.

Miss Denisova claimed: “Russia is committing genocide against the people of
Ukraine by killing the population with extreme cruelty.”

Earlier this week there was global outrage after unarmed civilians were found
with their hands tied behind their backs in Bucha with close-range gunshot
wounds, as well as a mass grave in a churchyard.

In a televised address to the nation, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky
said he believed at least 300 civilians had been killed by Russian troops in
Bucha alone.

Ukraine’s prosecutor general, Iryna Venediktova, later said the amount of
civilian victims in Borodyanka – another town in the Kyiv district is likely to
be higher than in Bucha, which is 15 miles away from it.

Russia has denied targeting civilians and says images of bodies in Bucha were
staged by the Ukrainian government to justify more sanctions against it and
derail peace negotiations.
