APPLY MAPPING LIST CHANGES TO NEW FINANCIAL YEARS AND SIMPLIFIED ADMIN SYNC
SETUP

We've introduced a new feature that allows you to apply mapping list changes to
a new, non-existing financial year in Silverfin. Previously, this wasn't
possible without contacting Support. Now, we've simplified the process and put
the control in your hands. Here's how it works:

 1. When you modify the mapping list, you now have the option to “apply to a new
    financial year”.

 2. We'll lock all prior financial years, ensuring that the original mapping
    list remains intact for those periods.

 3. A new financial year will be created in Silverfin with your new selected
    mapping list applied.

This new functionality gives you more flexibility, without the need for Support
intervention.







We've also streamlined the administration sync setup. To eliminate confusion,
we've replaced the two input fields with a more user-friendly option:

 * If the synchronisation supports it, you'll see a dropdown menu to select the
   correct reference. You will also see how many references are available, and
   are able to refresh the list when you just added a client in your admin
   package.

 * Otherwise, you'll have an open field where you can manually enter your
   reference.



This simplification ensures that you'll always know exactly what information to
provide, reducing the potential for errors or confusion.

ENHANCING YOUR SILVERFIN EXPERIENCE

The past few weeks, our team has been dedicated to improving your Silverfin
experience based on customer feedback. We've rolled out a bunch of enhancements
and delighters to various parts of the product aimed at saving you time and
streamlining your overall experience.

Let’s take a look.


1. QUICK ACCESS TO RECENTLY VISITED CLIENT FILES

With this update, the three client files you most recently visited will now be
conveniently listed on the home screen. This means less time wasted trying to
remember which files you were working on and a smoother, more efficient way to
resume your work exactly where you last left off.







2. ADDITION OF UNTICK BOX IN EXPORTS

In the exports section we’ve added a check box to easily untick ALL
reconciliations or ALL accounts, where before it was only possible to untick per
workflow.







3. NEW LANGUAGE SELECTOR

A simple but nice change: we’ve made it easier to see how to change the language
of the UI.



4. Wrong click on client file name

The link to the company name in the navbar was previously only active when
directly clicking the text, leading to customers misclicking the link or
clicking on the Silverfin logo instead taking them back to the firm level. We
adjusted the link and from now the whole row will be clickable.


5. UPDATED FUNCTIONALITY FOR ANALYTICAL REPORTS

We did a small update related to reports for analytical files. Before, an
analytical YTD period did not have an option to compare it to a formula,
although this was possible with regular periods. This now has been fixed,
analytical periods now support “relative to” functionality like regular periods
do.





6. UI changes on accounts page

We reworked the UI on the accounts page. From now on by clicking on the full
row, you are able to edit the account. We also made it more intuitive to delete
accounts.

DATA PROCESSING ADDENDUM UPDATE

We wanted to let you know we’ve updated our Data Processing Addendum (DPA),
which can be found on the Silverfin website here.

Specifically, we’ve updated the list of sub-processors, in line with clause 7.2.

Sub-processors are third parties we share data with as part of the service we
provide to our customers, for things like infrastructure monitoring, analytics
etc. You can find the updated list in Annex III at the end of the DPA on our
website.

BOOST CUSTOMER COLLABORATION WITH NEW INTERACT UPDATES

We’ve been hard at work improving the Interact feature. This is the feature that
allows you to collaborate and communicate directly with your client within any
Silverfin template.

Your valuable insights and feedback have guided us to enhance this overall
collaboration experience.

These updates will be rolled out within the next two months and here’s what you
can look forward to:


EASIER SHARING

 * A direct link under actions "Share template with Pulse user" now opens the
   sharing screen, making it simpler to grant your clients access.

 * You can now share not only individual templates, but also entire workflows
   with Pulse users.


ENHANCED EMAIL COMMUNICATION

 * We’ve refreshed the copy for emails sent to Pulse Users, making them clearer
   and more engaging.

 * You can now further customise these emails with your firm’s logo and name.


BETTER USER EXPERIENCE FOR PULSE USERS 🧑‍

 * To assist Pulse Users on the platform, we’ve added:

    * A prominent save button for easy saving of intermediate progress.
   
    * Inline alerts to inform them about the status of their proposal.
   
    * A clear submission button.

 * When sharing a full workflow, Pulse users will also see a progress tracker
   and a navigation bar on the left.


IMPROVED VISIBILITY ️

 * A new indicator on the working screen lets you know which templates have
   pending proposals from Pulse users that you haven't yet addressed.


MORE CONTROL

 * Once satisfied with client responses, you can disable further proposals. This
   feature gives you more control over which actions Pulse users can propose on
   your workflows in Silverfin.

ENHANCED SYNC MANAGEMENT - PART 3

Building on the two recent sync management improvements, we’re now introducing a
final (for now!) update. If you missed the earlier updates, you can review them
by following these links: Part 1 and Part 2.

Add more Synchronisations

Until now, admin users were unable to add every type of bookkeeping or
administration sync, and in some cases, needed to reach out to Silverfin support
or their CSM to set up.

To give admin users greater control, you can now add any supported cloud sync
via the syncs page without the need to contact Silverfin. Whether that is for
Companies House (admin sync), Octopus, AFAS, WinbooksOnWeb or any other sync...
you can do the necessary without any assistance from us.



Edit synchronisations

What if you accidentally enter incorrect credentials or if the credentials
change in a manually configured sync, such as Companies House, Octopus or Odoo?
No worries! Simply access the sync card and press the sync settings button to
adjust the sync entity.

SHOW NOTES AND TO-DO’S UP UNTIL A CERTAIN PERIOD

We’ve made a change to give you more control over notes and to-do's.

Previously, when you created a note or a to-do for all periods, it would remain
there until or unless you removed it for all periods. This wasn’t ideal, because
sometimes you might only want to show the message for a certain period.

So, now when you add a note or a to-do there are two options:


 * "Current Period": Just like before – your note or to-do only shows up for the
   period you're in. Great for period-specific reminders.

 * "Pinned": This is the successor to ‘all periods’ functionality. Your note or
   to-do sticks around for all periods, but now you get to decide exactly when
   you don’t want it to be shown anymore.
