SOFTWARE DEVELOPER FOR SIMULATIONS (M/F/D)

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

Integrate our simulation solution into our software stack by:
 * Creating and maintaining simulation models for supported hardware
 * Extending our simulation solution to support functionality defined by our
   hardware abstraction
 * Maintaining the current code base
 * Collaborate with other teams by giving support and to identify areas for
   improvement in the simulation
 * Develop new simulation models and features to expand the capabilities of the
   simulation
 * Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code using industry best practices
 * Keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in robotic simulation
 * Participate in code and design reviews to ensure software quality and
   compliance with coding standards
 * Communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and customers to
   gather requirements and provide status updates

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

Agile Robots is seeking a talented simulation software engineer to join the
Simulation and Visualization team. The successful candidate will work closely
with our multidisciplinary team to maintain and extend our existing simulation
software, which is used to create digital twins of our robotic systems for
testing and development. The simulation software engineer will be responsible
for ensuring the reliability of the simulation software and will work closely
with other engineers to improve the overall functionality and capabilities of
the simulation.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS

 * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
 *  Develop software using Test-Driven Development (TDD) methodology
 *  Apply well-established design patterns to software development
 *  Proficient in C/C++11 and Python programming languages
 *  Experience using Git, Jira, and Linux
 *  Familiarity with agile software development methods
 *  Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
 *  Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

BENEFICIAL SKILLS

 * Experience with simulation frameworks such as Gazebo, Drake, Coppelia Sim, or
   NVIDIA Isaac Experience with robotic systems and control theory
 * Basic experience in using CAD or 3D modelling software e.g., SolidWorks,
   CATIA, AutoCAD or Blender, 3Ds Max, Maya, Cinema4D
 * Good written and verbal communication skills in German or Chinese
