In addition to oversight of investments across all EM strategies, Polina is also a lead portfolio manager for several flagship funds in EM sovereign, credit and local markets, including long only and alternative products. Polina started her career in emerging markets after the Russian financial crisis in 1998 and has, since then, gained expertise across a broad range of emerging market financial assets. Polina joined BlueBay Asset Management (which is now part of RBC Global Asset Management) in July 2005 from UBS where she was a credit analyst in EM corporate research. Her role encompassed coverage of EM issuers as well as research support for primary issuance of corporate debt. Prior to this, Polina was with Alliance Capital where she was an emerging markets equity analyst and then moved on to pioneer emerging markets quantitative research at the firm. She started her career in a macro research boutique in Russia. Polina holds an MSc (Hons) in Finance from the People’s Friendship University of Russia, Moscow and is a CFA charterholder. Prior to launching his own advisory service, he was chief economist and director general at the Treasury Department of the Italian Ministry of Economy and Finance (May 2006-February 2015) and head of the Italian delegation at the Economic Policy Committee of the EU, which he chaired from January 2010 to December 2011, thus attending Ecofin/Eurogroup meetings with Ministers. He joined the Ministry from Bank of America, where he was managing director, senior economist, and co-head of European Economics based in London over the previous eleven years. He studies at Padua University and Syracuse University, NY. Lorenzo Codogno è visiting professor alla London School of Economics e al College of Europe, e fondatore della sua società di consulenza LC Macro Advisors Ltd. E’ stato dirigente generale al Ministero dell’Economia e delle Finanze dal 2006 al 2015, responsabile della direzione Analisi e Programmazione Economico Finanziaria. E’ stato capo della delegazione italiana al Comitato di Politica Economica (CPE) dell’Unione Europea, vice presidente nel 2008-2009 e presidente nel 2010-2011, partecipando ai vertici Eurogruppo/Ecofin con i Ministri. Ha rappresentato l’Italia al CPE e al WP1 dell’OCSE (presidente nel 2013-2015). Dal 1998 al 2006 ha lavorato per Bank of America a Londra come managing director responsabile dell’analisi economica per Europa.
