Nursing Education

There is a high demand for nurse educators as there is currently a shortage of
registered nurse educators around the world. Nursing educators play a vital role
in shaping and promoting the nursing careers of future generations of registered
nurses. Nursing education focuses on educating healthcare professionals on
effective ways to deliver healthcare to patients. Nursing education has also
changed to keep pace and prepare leaders who are highly skilled and technically
savvy decision-makers and clinicians. The goal of nursing education is the
growth of the nursing profession.

Critical Care And Emergency Nursing

A critical care nurse treats patients with acute medical conditions or even
life-threatening injuries. Critical care nurses need specific training that
enables them to manage and monitor the most seriously ill or injured patients.
The critical care nurse must have the ability to think and work quickly under
stressful conditions and to remain alert after many hours of intensive work.
Emergency nurses are also called trauma nurses and critical care nurses.
Regardless of their titles, these nursing professionals provide an important
medical service to patients with medical emergencies; stabilize their condition
to avoid long-term disability or death. These nurses work with emergency
medicine professionals under pressure and are skilled in quickly recognizing
traumatic injuries and serious and sudden illnesses and are trained to resolve
them on the spot. Emergency nurses are most often employed in hospital emergency
rooms, triage centres, urgent care centres, trauma centres, sports arenas,
clinics, and emergency response units. Emergency, poison centres, prisons and
on, medical transport helicopters and various branches of the military. The
average salary for a critical care nurse is $60,000 to $65,000 and an emergency
nurse is $70,000 to $75,000 per year.

Research and Analysis on Covid-19 Pandemic

The current global outbreak of COVID-19 has changed the modus operandi of all
segments of society. While some pandemic-related stressors affect almost
everyone, many particularly affect women. Pregnant, postpartum, miscarried women
or women who are victims of domestic violence are at particularly high risk of
developing mental health problems during the pandemic. Proactively reaching out
to these women’s groups and improving social supports could lead to prevention,
early detection and prompt treatment. Social support is an essential protective
factor. Likewise, parenthood can be much more stressful during a pandemic.
Gender disparities can be accentuated, especially for employed women or single
mothers, as women are disproportionately responsible for the bulk of household
tasks, including childcare and elder care.

Patient Safety & Research

Patient safety is the prevention of harm to patients. Patient safety is an
important part of nursing aimed at preventing avoidable errors and patient harm.
Patient safety is a hallmark of a health system and a set of tested methods for
improving care. Hospitals and other healthcare organizations need to protect
their patients from errors, injuries, infections and accidents. Many hospitals
maintain good conditions for the safety of their patients, but few hospitals do
not. Each year, approximately 440,000 people die from preventable errors in
hospitals. Every hospital should prioritize patient safety. It is important to
remember that most hospital errors will be prevented. Hospitals must work hard
to protect their patients from errors, injuries, infections and accidents every
day. The average salary of a patient safety specialist $95,000 per year.

Additionally, community health nurses provide education to community members on
how to maintain their health to reduce illness and death. They plan educational
assemblies, distribute flyers, perform health checks, distribute medications and
administer vaccinations. Health-related products such as condoms and pregnancy

Bullying Nurses

Nurse bullying may be a general and pervasive downside that begins long before
school nursing and continues throughout a nurse’s career. A big proportion of
nurses quit their initial job due to the negative behaviour of their colleagues,
and harassment is probably going to worsen the growing shortage of nurses. A
culture of bullying contributes to poor work surroundings for nurses, redoubled
patient risk, lower Hospital shopper Assessment of tending suppliers and Systems
(HCAHPS) patient satisfaction scores and better turnover of nursing workers,
cost accounting for the common hospital $4-7 million a year. Addressing nurse
bullying begins with recognizing the matter, raising awareness, mitigating
causative factors, and making and implementing a powerful anti-bullying policy.
Nurses and stakeholders should additionally work actively to vary the culture
and perceive that bullying has no place in nursing or anyplace else in health
care.

Holistic Nursing

Holistic nursing refers to a kind of nursing practice that focuses on treating
the patient as a whole rather than just treating the symptoms of their current
condition. A holistic nurse, also called a complementary health nurse, is a
board-certified nurse who takes a mind-body-spirit-emotion approach to
traditional nursing practice. Holistic nurses often employ alternative forms of
medicine alongside traditional Western medicine in their practice. This may
include dietary advice, acupuncture, massage therapy and meditation therapy.
Those who practice holistic nursing often encourage patients to integrate
self-care, personal responsibility, spirituality, and reflection into their
lives to maintain a healthy balance of mind, body, and spirit.

various areas, depending on their specialty. They can also be consultants,
helping other healthcare professionals improve patient outcomes and influencing
all levels of care. In the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patient
illnesses, they incorporate their advanced knowledge of disease processes, but
their role goes beyond providing patient care. The average annual salary for a
clinical nurse specialist is $80,000. However, clinical nurses can vary based on
their experience, specialization, location, and other factors. Clinical nurses
must have advanced expertise, which means they could also be employed in
education and leadership roles.

Gender Discrimination in Nursing

Gender discrimination is still present within the nursing profession. Nursing
faculty should prepare nursing students to interact effectively with clients as
well. Role modeling the therapeutic relationship with clients is a strategy that
can help male students. The nursing profession is not immune to gender
inequality. Because the profession remains female-dominated, how nurses are
treated in a particular society often mirrors how women are treated.
Unfortunately, in the media, nurses are often portrayed as embodying female
stereotypes: unskilled servants, sexual objects, angels or hatchets. The news
media still tends to focus on the work of doctors and downplay the clinical and
research achievements of nurses. In many television dramas, the doctors, who are
often male characters, receive the credit for meaningful health care, while the
mostly female nursing characters obediently attend, showing no autonomy and
little skill. These characters may reflect the creators’ attempts to provide
comic relief or achieve ethnic diversity goals with minimal effort. And of
course, male doctors look more heroic when seen next to respectful nurses.

Ob-Gyn Nursing and Midwifery

Obstetric nursing, also known as perinatal nursing, is a nursing force that

who have passed away. They also monitor patient thinking experts and cautious
technologists. Obstetrics deals with the thinking of the pregnant woman, the
unborn new-born, labor and movement, and the fasting period following labor. The
obstetrician ensures that the mother and the adolescent receive the best
prenatal care to ensure that labor and transport go without complexities and
that if an intervention is necessary, it is done quickly and safely. Gynecology
treats any difficulty concerning the conceptual organs; uterus, fallopian tubes,
cervix, ovaries and vagina. A gynecologist can similarly deal with problems
related to the structure of the bowel, bladder and urine, as these are closely
related to the female conceptual organs.

Midwifery is the health science and community that has the necessary support,
medical aid and counseling throughout gestation, labor and also the postnatal
amount. Medical aid includes preventive measures, early detection of
complications in mother and kid, and promotion of traditional accouchement.
Nurse-midwives additionally offer gynecological care and inflict contraceptives.
Midwives are unambiguously qualified to help in very traditional parturition.
Midwives are better-off with patients, and they perform their tasks like health
counseling and education, not just for the girl but additionally for the family
and also the community.

Heart & Cardiovascular Nursing

Cardiovascular nurses, also known as cardiac nurses or vascular nurses, are
registered nurses (RNs). Cardiac nursing is a nursing specialty that deals with
patients who suffer from various conditions of the cardiovascular system.
Cardiac nurses assist in the treatment of angina pectoris, heart failure, heart
disease, coronary heart disease, cardiomyopathy, myocardial infarction and
cardiac dysrhythmia under the supervision of a cardiologist. Cardiac nurses may
focus on cardiac rehabilitation, in which they counsel patients to make
lifestyle changes to prevent their heart disease from getting worse. Currently,
there is a high demand for Clinical Cardiology Nurse Specialists (CNS).
Registered nursing is projected to grow 10-15% through 2026, according to the
current U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics Occupational Outlook Handbook, which is
much faster than average. With the rapid advancements in cardiac care
technologies and the changing lifestyle of mankind, opportunities in the field
of cardiac and cardiovascular nursing are growing exponentially.

Nursing Empowerment

Nursing empowerment means the ability to effectively motivate and mobilize
oneself and others to achieve positive outcomes in nursing practice and the work
environment. Quality improvement is an organized process that evaluates health
services to improve practice or the quality of care. Nurse empowerment and
quality patient care are two sides of the same coin. The empowered team
influences staff morale, productivity, staff retention and associated costs,
quality of patient care, and patient safety. Improving leadership skills, being
a positive change agent, upgrading education and being evidence-based practice
(EBP) is necessary for nurses to become empowered professionals. Provide quality
care. Factors that contribute to nursing empowerment are decision-making,
autonomy, a manageable workload, equity, reward and recognition. Nursing
empowerment is becoming an inevitable part of achieving quality improvement in
any health care setting.

eHealth/telenursing

Telemedicine is the union of health care and telecommunications/information
technology aimed at providing assistance to people in remote areas, inaccessible
to health care centers when needed. It significantly reduces expenses. The most
important element of telemedicine is that it is able to meet the needs of
patients anytime and from anywhere. E-health is the use of information and
communication technologies to facilitate improved health and health care
services. It needs to improve the documentation and tracking of patient health
and procedures performed on patients for reimbursement purposes by insurance
companies. Beneficial effects include physicians’ use of computerized medication
ordering systems that can reduce the risk of adverse drug events through
decision support systems.
