HIGHLIGHTS Abby Weed Grey Collection of Modern Asian and Middle Eastern Art—truly an unparalleled and unique resource—includes some of the largest institutional holdings of Iranian, Indian, and Turkish modern art outside those countries. The collection was donated to NYU in 1974 by Abby Weed Grey. The Grey is particularly strong in its postwar American art, including works by Willem de Kooning, Helen Frankenthaler, Louise Nevelson, Alex Katz, Kenneth Noland, and Ad Reinhardt. Late 19th- and early 20th-century European art is also well represented, with works by Edouard Manet, Joan Mirò, and Pablo Picasso.
