You need to be 18 years or older and you’ll need a valid email address, cellphone number and South African identity (ID) number or a Passport number. You need to set a password that contains at least 8 characters, including one number, one letter, one special character and one capital letter. Will I automatically get a Truworths Account when I create a profile for online shopping? No, your Truworths online shopping profile is not the same as that for a Truworths account. Your Truworths online shopping profile allows you to shop online, keep track of your online orders and offers. A Truworths account allows you to shop on an account card (in-store or online) and pay off your purchases over 6 or 12 months. If you are not already an account holder you can apply for a Truworths account here If you are already an account holder you can link your Truworths account to your online shopping profile in order to be able to shop using your card and to view your statements online. I’ve forgotten my email address, how do I retrieve it? Contact our customer service team on 087 285 9401 for assistance. I’ve forgotten my password, how do I retrieve it? Simply click “Forgot password” on the login page and enter your email address. You will receive an email with instructions to reset your password. Can I create two online profiles with the same email address? No, each online shopping profile requires a unique email address. How do I update my contact details? To update your email address or cellphone number, sign into My Account, click on Profile. Here you can update your personal information. When you are done click on the Save Profile button. Please note that updating your details online will only update your online shopping profile details, not your Truworths Account details. To update your Truworths account details, please contact our customer service team on 087 285 9401 for assistance. SHOPPING ONLINE Back How do I shop online? You can shop online from your desktop, tablet or mobile phone. To begin, navigate to products you’d like to purchase, select your size, and then add them to your shopping bag. When you’re ready to complete your purchase, simply click on your shopping bag and follow the steps. Once complete you will receive an email to confirm that your order has been received by us. How do I find an item online? If you don’t have a specific item in mind you can search for a description of what you are looking for in the search bar e.g. black dress and then filter your search by brand, category, colour, size or price. Are items in my shopping cart reserved for me? No, unfortunately items cannot be reserved until you have completed your order and made payment. Can I remove items from an order/change the size of an item that I have ordered? No changes are permitted to an order once submitted. Can I add to an existing order? No additions are permitted to an order once submitted. How do I cancel an order? Orders cannot be cancelled once confirmed and being prepared for delivery, however goods purchased can be returned in terms of Truworths’s Returns Policy. Can I order by phone or email? You can only place orders via our website www.truworths.co.za. Can I order a gift card online? Unfortunately at this stage our gift cards are only available for purchase in stores, not online. I am having difficulty adding items to my shopping bag, how do I resolve this? If you’ve tried refreshing your browser and still experience problems, please contact our customer service team on 087 285 9401 for assistance. They might request that you share the browser and browser version you’re using so it will be useful to have this information ready when making the call. How can I check if an item is available in-store? To check if an item is available in-store navigate to the item you would like to purchase and click on the “Check Stock” button. Simply select your size and store nearest to you. We do our best to ensure that the stock levels reflected online are as accurate as possible but we recommend that you phone the store to confirm that they have the item you’re looking for. RETURNS AND EXCHANGES Back Returns and exchanges Sometimes when you buy something it just isn’t right and you want to return or exchange it – we understand. That’s why our policy is simple and easy to follow. All you have to do is make sure your return or exchange ticks the criteria below. We will allow a full refund in the original method of tender or process a credit on a Truworths Account provided that all criteria are met and the credit card holder and relevant card are present for a credit card refund. We can’t process a refund on a gift receipt unless you have the original invoice. Customers can return or exchange an item(s) within 30 days of purchase, provided that the following criteria are met: * The docket or delivery note is retained as proof of purchase * The swing ticket is still attached * The item has not been worn * The item is in its original condition and packaging * The merchandise is returned within the country of purchase * Merchandise sold with a promotional gift can only be returned if the promotional gift is also returned at the same time * Garments with an additional special tag still has the specific tag attached * All cosmetics and fragrances are returned to a store that has a cosmetics department that stocks that brand * Hosiery is in its original, unopened packaging. What items can’t be returned or exchanged? * Jewellery used as body piercings including earrings * Gift cards * Cellular airtime * Underwear or boxers – please make sure you purchase the correct size * Face masks * Face shields * Face buffs * Sanitising products * Swimwear without the protective strip attached. How do I return an item(s) bought online? Items bought online can be returned within 30 days from the date of purchase to your nearest Truworths store together with the dispatch note that was included with your order. Please read the returns policies online as there are some categories of merchandise that have a shorter returns period and some that will attract a handling fee of R25.00. How do I exchange an item bought online? Items bought online can be exchanged within 30 days from the date of purchase to your nearest Truworths store together with the dispatch note that was included with your order. Can I return my order in store? Yes, you can return your order to a store, but please note that some items may attract a returns fee dependent on where the return takes place. How will I be refunded for my return? If you paid for the order using your Truworths account card we will credit the value of the returned items to your card. If you paid with credit card or debit card, our cashier will credit the value of the returned items to your card. What if I receive my delivery but there are items missing from my order? If you receive your delivery and you notice that items are missing from your order, please contact our customer service team on 087 285 9401 for assistance. What is your 6-month return policy on faulty items? (Applicable from 1 April 2011) * Merchandise with material manufacturing faults will gladly be credited or exchanged provided it is returned to us within six (6) months of purchase in the country of purchase with proof of purchase. * The item has been used for its intended purpose. * The item has been cared for according to the wash care instruction label. DELIVERY Back Where do you deliver to? We deliver to physical addresses (work and residential) throughout South Africa. You also have the option to collect your order from your nearest store, at no additional cost. How does it work if I want to collect from store? If you choose to collect from store, you will be notified once your order has arrived at the store that you selected during the checkout process. You will have 14 days to collect your order. If your order is not collected during this period we will process a return and credit your account using the same payment option used at checkout. If you purchased using a credit card, please note that a refund can take 7 – 10 days to reflect after the request has been sent. To collect your order you need to bring proof of identification (a South African Identity Document / Passport / Driver’s Licence) as well as the SMS confirming that your order is ready for collection. Do you deliver internationally? No, we only deliver in South Africa. Can I purchase from Truworths if I’m living outside South Africa? Yes, you can place an order if you live outside of South Africa, however please note that we only deliver within South Africa. How much will delivery cost? Delivery to a physical address in South Africa is R60. If you choose to collect from a store there will be no delivery fee. How long does delivery take? Delivery should take 5 - 7 working days. Please note that delivery can be delayed during peak periods, as well as during public holidays. Delivery to outlying areas can take longer, depending on where you are based. What are your delivery times? Deliveries are only done between 09h00 and 17h00 from Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). Can I split the delivery of my order between different addresses? No, if you want items to be delivered to separate addresses you need to place them as separate orders. How do I update my delivery address? You can either update your saved delivery address on your online profile or you can add a new delivery address during the checkout process. Please note that once your order has been completed neither Truworths nor our delivery partner can change your delivery details. How do I track my order? To track your order sign into “My Account” and click on “My Orders”. Select the relevant order number and then click on “Track My Order”. If you have checked out as a guest you will not be able to track your order status online and will need to contact our customer service team on 087 285 9401 for assistance. What happens if I’m not there to collect my order when you deliver? We will send communication prior to the delivery of your parcel, as well as on the day that delivery will take place. We will attempt to deliver to you 3 times. If we are unable to deliver after the third attempt, your order will be cancelled and refunded as soon as possible. Please note that after Truworths receives the parcel back from our courier partner, a credit card refund can take between 7 – 10 days to reflect. Can I change my delivery details after I placed an order? Once your order has been confirmed we are unable to change your chosen delivery address. If you don’t manage your debt well by diligently paying your monthly installments on time it could negatively impact your credit score and financial institutions might not be willing to extend credit when you really need it. Keeping your monthly payments up to date is an investment in your future financial wellbeing. I’ve fallen behind with my account payments. How do I get back on track? Don’t lose hope if your financial situation has changed or you’ve spent more than you can afford to repay monthly. You may call the call center to order a new card. They will block your current card in case it ends up in the wrong hands and issue you with a new card. In the interim you will need to use your identity document or driver’s licence to shop. Is it safe to shop online with Truworths? Yes, our website is 100% safe and secure. We have put all the necessary measures in place to ensure your personal and payment information remains secure. What is 3D secure? 3D Secure is an additional layer of online security that is now mandatory for all online retailers in South Africa. It’s also known as Verified by Visa and MasterCard SecureCode. It helps prevent fraud by protecting you against unauthorised transactions on your card(s). Truworths Online, along with e-Centric, our trusted payment processor, uses 3D Secure to secure your online transactions and help protect you. How does 3D secure work? 3D Secure requires you to enter a one-time PIN (OTP) to complete transactions on any website that features the ‘Verified by Visa’ or ‘MasterCard SecureCode’ sign. This OTP is sent to your registered mobile number or your email address, so only you have access to it. By successfully completing 3D Secure verification, you’re able to prove that it really is you shopping, and not someone who has gained unlawful access to your card details. Only you, as the cardholder, will receive the password required to complete the transaction. I’d like to pay using my Truworths Account, how do I go about this? In order to shop online using your Truworths account card you need to link your account to your online shopping profile.
