View TDS Why Hytrel® for downhole flexible devices? Hydrolysis Resistance — Hytrel® HTR8801 maintains 50% retention of mechanical properties after 2000 hours of hydrolysis testing at 100°C. Flex Fatigue — Hytrel® shows superior flex fatigue and flex cut growth resistance compared to TPU materials, even at elevated temperatures. Heat Aging Performance — Hytrel® HTR8801 maintains 50% retention of mechanical properties after 1500 hours of heat aging at 135°C and 150°C. Acid Resistance — Hytrel® HTR8801 displays good acid resistance at elevated temperatures. UV Resistance — Two additives are available, Hytrel® 40CB (black) and Hytrel® 21UV (other colors), that improve UV resistance and reduce color shift on thermal and UV aging.
