OPEN SOURCE THEATRE Knowledge Sharing for Community and Local Theatre A compendium of knowledge, reviews, guides, and how-tos for producing community theatre. Guides Reference Reviews About Contact OUR MISSION Community theatre can be challenging: tight budgets, small staff, and creative engineering are often the rule. While researching our shows, we found ourselves frustrated by the lack of good online resources: there are some great communities, but much of the actual guides are geared towards professional productions with big budgets and lots of staff. Taking a leaf from the open-source software movement, we decided to create an online resource that everyone could use without the need to purchase a subscription or sign away personal data. That way we could help others — and also help OURSELVES the next time we need to remember how we did it! Please dive in, read, try things out, and if you find new solutions, contribute them back!
