I had hoped to post this project yesterday, but had problems with my picture. I made this lip balm holder as Valentine's gifts for my Mom's friends. My Mom lives in Assisted Living and loves giving small gifts to her friends on holidays. I found the pattern on the internet. I'm sorry, I don't remember where. I used Real Red cardstock as the base. The paper measures 9 1/2" X 3". I scored the paper at 1/2", 1 1/4", 2", 2 3/4", 5 3/4" and 6 1/2. I then punched a 3/4" circle on the second strip measuring 3/4" wide. I used Sticky Strip on the 1/2" scored section to form the box. Next I cut a 2 3/4" square of Pretty in Pink cardstock and attached to the front of the box. I then cut a 2 1/4" square of Red Glitter Paper. I stamped the red heart from the P.S. I Love You set in the Occasions Mini Catalog on Whisper White cardstock. I punched it out with the Full Heart Punch from the Big Idea Book & Catalog. I used Stampin' Dimensionals to elevate the heart. The center heart is punched in Red Glitter Paper using the smallest heart on the Heart to Heart Punch. The inside of the box has a 2 3/4" Pretty in Pink square, a Real Red heart and the middle heart from the Heart to Heart Punch in Red Glitter Paper. The lip balm is secured with Mini Glue Dots. I closed the box with 5/8" Organza White Ribbon. All Stampin' Up supplies below may be ordered from My Web Site or Email Me to place your order. Stamp Sets: P.S. I Love You Paper: Real Red, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White and Red Glitter Paper Ink: Real Red Accessories: Full Heart Punch, Heart to Heart Punch, Stampin' Dimensions and Mini Glue Dots Continue reading "Sealed With A Kiss" » Posted at 08:38 PM | Permalink | Comments (0) Reblog (0) | | | 11/11/2011 THIS ONE'S FOR YOU DADDY Hi and welcome to my blog. This is the inaugural post for Kimbo’s Korner. My name is Kim Coulter and I am a Stampin’ Up demonstrator. I joined Stampin’ Up in 2010. Since then, I have met so many wonderful people and learned a lot of great things. I’m dedicating my blog to my Dad. Almost since the day I was born, my Dad has calle d me “Kimbo”. As I was growing up, I remember him calling me to the phone (for a boy call) by saying, “Kimbo, phone”. You can imagine the teasing I endured. Nonetheless, I always knew he said it with love in his heart. My Dad and I worked on projects and crafts together. We did everything from wood burning to woodworking. We even got my Mom involved in painting the wood. It seemed no matter what I wanted to make, my Dad was there to help and encourage me. I lost my Dad 18 months ago. I miss him every day, but as I do my paper crafts, I smile and think of all the great times we had together. So as I start my journey of blogging and sharing ideas with you, I say, “This one’s for you Daddy”. Hi and welcome to my blog. This is the inaugural post for Kimbo’s Korner.
