WHO WE ARE

We offer compassionate, science-based dog training in Ottawa, Canada. We work
with dogs of all ages and breeds using positive reinforcement methods.  

Our loving, patient dog trainers will help guide your dog toward being a
cherished member of your family.

WE MEET YOU AND YOUR DOG WHERE YOU’RE AT.

If you’re interested in basic obedience, Group Training is a great place to
start. If you’re dealing with some behaviour challenges or prefer a more
intimate training setting, Private Lessons may be more suitable.

We sought out help from Regina and Carol for our flat coated retriever puppy,
Murphy. He was a hyperactive, very social, and over exuberant pup! We knew we
wanted to teach Murphy some puppy basics, to heel, not to jump on people, and
how to settle. Regina and Carol are such patient trainers, who take the time to
get to know the dog that you have, so that you can learn how to get the most out
of class. They also were great at shifting gears if a certain training technique
wasn't working. I think training improved our relationship with our dog because
it allowed us to really get to know Murphy for who he is. Regina and Carol know
each dog has a different personality and teach dog owners to be compassionate
about meeting their dog's needs and how to choose your training time/practices
to set owners up for success.

I decided to sign up for puppy classes with our puppy Maya because we wanted to
set ourselves up for success! The class was super informative and taught us that
puppies don’t need a ton of exercise to tire them out. Regina and Carol taught
me that Maya needed sniff walks to take everything in, which made her way more
manageable in the early puppy stage. Regina gave us so many tips and tricks to
help us build our relationship with our busy and active puppy and set us up with
a great foundation of positive dog training.

When I started working with Carol, my dog Lumi was an intense resource guarder,
growled at me whenever I approached her in the evenings and was very reactive to
everything around her (movement, sounds). I was so thankful for Carol's help
because I was completely lost and didn't know how to help my dog be her best
self. After working with Carol and months of practice, Lumi barely guards
anymore, is a pleasure to walk and demands snuggles every day. Lumi even turned
my whole family around from being scared of her to being completely in love with

I started working with Carol and Regina when my dog, Max, turned 7 months old.
Max was showing fearful behaviours and had low confidence towards most
situations in the world. Carol and Regina not only helped us increase Max’s
confidence but also greatly improved our relationship with him. Max now fully
trusts us and comes to us if he is unsure of something. I would recommend Carol
and Regina to anyone looking for help with their dog, as they take into
consideration all factors that might be causing a behaviour instead of just
taking the behaviour at face value.
