FORMATE INPUT METRIC TO MATCH EXISTING METRICS

Hi Pigment Community, Hope you’re all doing well. I’m currently having a
formatting/metric structure issue and was wondering if anyone had a solution to
my problem. The current challenge I’m facing is that when I create a table using
2 existing metrics and 1 input metric, the format of my table follows the input
metric, when I would like it to follow the format of the existing metrics. To
further explain I have a list of managers and territories. Managers only operate
in one territory, so in a table manager A should only be seen under country X,
however I am seeing that Manager A is listed under Country A, B, C, etc...

Y-2 (no picture provided because its the same as Revenue [$] Y-1) METRIC: Yearly

have attached images below that walk you through the issue I am facing. The
first image “Opp Owner Name” shows a dimension that has a

DYNAMIC VARIABLE NOT UPDATED PAGE SELECTORS

Is there a bug in Dynamic variable? I have a metric with Year format and This
year populates the actual months. When I apply this variable it doesn’t update
variable in page selectors instantaneously. Instead I have to wait for a minute
or two to see it get applied Or we need to refresh the browser url or
application in order for it to make work. Is this the intended behaviour or Am I
missing anything? Appreciate your responses! Thanks, Misbah

MAXIMUM CARDINALITY EXCEEDED WHEN USING CALCULATIONS

Hi, I was trying to use Calculations and faces maximum cardinality issue. I have
metrics for BoP, EoP and 2 metrics I need to add. So, the logic would be EoP =
BoP + Metric 1 + Metric 2 Each of them has 6 dimension, and unfortunately I
can’t get rid of any dimensions. We used the logic of where BoP = EoP {select
month -1] and EoP is calculated as previous month + Metric 1 + Metric 2 but we
faced formula timeout recently. Maybe anyone has any ideas how it can be solved?

ACCESS RIGHTS ON DATA LEVEL (ACTUAL VS FORECAST)

Hi Pigment community, I want to manage the edit rights in a Board, so that users
only can edit/add data for Forecast data and should not edit/override the
Actuals data . I created a Period Type metric: I added the Period Type to the
Year metric: I created a custom Access Rights Metric named “Forecast Rule” for
the Period Type and Year metric. I updated the access to Actual on Read / No
Write and to Forecast Read / Write for all users: I defined the rule so that it
should be applied to all metrics using these Dimensions ( I also tried with
“Period Type” only): I created a Board that shows my sales data for projects and
I still can edit/override the Actuals data in 2023: After reading the Knowledge
Base articles for managing Access rights, I tried many different things in my
configuration, but was not able to figure out the proper way. I also found no
other solution in the forum, so I would be happy if someone can help me
understand and solve this issue. Best regards,Marco

HOW TO FIX SPECIAL CHARACTERS IN YOUR NAME IN PIGMENT ACADEMY

Hello Pigment Community! If you’ve noticed that special characters (i.e. è or á)
in your name aren’t displaying correctly in Pigment Academy, here’s a quick and
easy fix: Login to Pigment Workspace: Start by logging into your Pigment
workspace. Access Account Settings: Click on your profile name in the bottom
left corner and select 'Account settings' from the menu options. Pigment -
Account Settings Update Your Name: Under the "My Profile" page, update your name
by adding a random character (e.g., a letter or a number) at the end. Settings -
My Profile Save Changes: Click 'Save changes' to update your profile. Remove the
Random Character: Once the changes are saved, go back and remove the previously
added character from your name. Save Changes Again: Click 'Save changes' once
more. This process will refresh your profile information and should resolve any
issues with special characters not displaying correctly in Pigment Academy. We
hope this helps! If you continue to experience issues,

UNDERSTAND TEST & DEPLOY FOR PIGMENT FEATURES

Here we give you a feature-by-feature breakdown of how T&D (Test & Deploy) works
in various areas of Pigment. In this article, we refer to source (Dev)
environment and target (Prod) environment, and we talk about managed and
unmanaged Applications. Managed Applications are the Applications in both the
Dev and the Prod environments and are managed by T&D. However, unmanaged
Applications refer to Applications that exist only in the Prod environment, and
therefore they’re not managed by the T&D process. What changes does T&D support?
Workspace-Level Features Security and Member Management Application-Level
Features Block-Level Features View-Level Features Imports, Automations &
Scenarios Related Information What changes does T&D support? Two main types of
changes are managed by T&D: Structural changes. We talk more about this here, or
if you need a refresher, see What are structural changes? Data changes. Although
data isn’t managed through T&D, the data changes we’re referring to

PERFORM A DEPLOYMENT

When T&D (Test & Deploy) is set up on your Workspace, you’ll start making
changes and you’ll want to push those changes to your Production environment.
This is what we call a deployment. What is a deployment? Who can perform a
deployment? How to perform a deployment? What can prevent a Member performing a
deployment? Permission Issues References to Disconnected Items Deploy a Subset
of Changes Rollback a Set of Changes Related Information What is a deployment? A
deployment is the action of making your Prod environment structurally identical
to your Dev environment, by pushing changes made in Prod to Dev. Deployment in
T&D occurs in 2 steps: Both the Dev and Prod environments are compared, and a
list of all structural changes, or the changes supported by T&D, are displayed.
After you review the structural changes, you push those changes from Dev to
Prod. The deployment captures all changes made in any Application within the Dev
environment. The standard Enterprise plan on Pigment includ

MAX FUNCTION NOT WORKING ON PRIOR MONTHS

Hi all - I’m looking to calculate the maximum value of the last 3 months but
seem to be getting incorrect values with my current formula. Adding screenshots

but it seems to be causing a mismatch in dimensionality somehow.

HOW TO CHANGE THE SCALE OF Y-AXIS IN A COMBINED CHART?

Hi, I am trying to change the scale of the Y-axis on a combined chart, but am
not seeing the option of a “Fixed” scale. Interestingly, on a Secondary Y scale
this is possible (pls see below) In a separate discussion below, it was stated
that this should just be an issue with bar charts, but I cannot find the option
in the combined chart either. Thanks for the help!

DETAILED VIDEO INSTRUCTIONS FOR MODELING IN PIGMENT

Hi Pigment Community, I am a beginner in financial modeling and have a very
shallow learning curve in Pigment and often don't progress well. I have to
constantly look up tutorials and forums to do simple things that I often don't
fully understand. What would help me a lot would be a detailed video of a
project where the budget or forecast in Pigment is set up step by step and all
the steps in Pigment are explained. Especially modeling with dimensions,
transaction lists etc. is difficult for me without a lot of previous experience.
(E.g. which metrics do you basically need and how are they created from the raw
data?) Are there any such videos available? I haven't found any suitable
examples on YouTube or Google. Is there an overview page of all Pigment videos
from the Academy? That would also help a bit without always having to search in
the respective topic subpages. Thank you!M

PIGMENT WORKFLOW TO INPUT DIMENSION

Hello everyone, I know that automation/workflow needs to be designed with
Metrics but I would like some people to input a dimension (with Data Type
“Text”) and then select from several elements in several properties (each
property being of the Data Type “Dimension”). In the following example (which is
a Dimension), I want some employees to input the Name of the subject they will
be working on and then select the start date of the subject, the end date, link
is to a project, a product and an activity. I have absolutely no idea of how to
do that. Any tips? Many thanks Laura
