When the opportunity became available for us, we thought this would be a great
place to open a center.” “We knew the east side of Portland was an under-served
area. “We have a great business in Beaverton,” Tang said. When co-owner John
Tang joined the conversation, he told why the pair chose to invest here in outer
East Portland. “With tables and couch seating in a lounge style environment for
up to about 80 people, it makes this area a good place for company team-building
events, group gatherings, and casual bowling,” Whitford said. In place of ten of
the previous lanes, KingPins installed a 4,000 square foot game room, featuring
some 50 of the latest video and redemption games, and a “Winner’s Court”, where
guests redeem tickets for prizes.įinally, on the south end of the building,
there’s now a “TapHouse Bar & Grill”, offering a casual dining menu, craft
beers, wine, and spirits, served to eight TapHouse lanes. This new game room

He’s been good.īut is that all he’s going to be? Prescott will turn 30 before
the start of the season, which is about the time when most players start to hear
questions about how much longer they have left. In fact, Prescott is eighth in
EPA/play and ninth in CPOE among active quarterbacks since entering the league.
Prescott has been in the league for quite some time now, and he’s been
exceptional from the very moment he made his NFL debut. Perhaps an uptick in
Prescott’s time to throw can not only cut down on turnovers, but unlock an even
more efficient version of Prescott than we’ve seen in the past. Neither of those
figures are abysmal, but they’re firmly in the middle of the pack. This makes
sense, as Prescott’s turnover worthy play rate jumped from 3.6% to 4.8% when
pressured, and Prescott’s 2.72 seconds to throw coincided with a 20% pressure
rate. McCarthy seems to have identified the solution to this problem, with both
the head coach and Jerry Jones going out of their way to talk about getting the
ball out of Prescott’s hands quicker. McCarthy is focused on tweaking the
offense to improve efficiency, and turnovers are an efficiency killer. Mike
McCarthy has brought up the turnovers on more than one occasion this offseason
when discussing changes to the Cowboys offense. Prescott threw a pick on just
1.7% of his passes through the first six years of his career in 2022, he was
throwing one on 3.8% of his attempts. One reason that was such a big deal is
because it was so unlike him those 15 interceptions were the most he had ever
thrown in a season. In fact, Prescott led the league in interceptions despite
missing five games. Can Dak get back to his old ways in a new offense?įor
whatever reason, there has always been a ton of debate around Prescott’s place
in the hierarchy of NFL quarterbacks, but the 2022 season found new life in the
form of Prescott’s sudden affliction with the turnover bug. It will be
interesting - and undoubtedly strange - to watch Prescott command this team
without Zeke next to him. He was already a leader, but this is now
unquestionably Dak Prescott’s team no more shared credit with his fellow 2016
rookie. Prescott is now an established veteran, and one of the most senior
voices in this locker room. Prescott and Elliott were close friends, but the
quarterback knows that the decision was a bit of a wakeup call for the whole
team: it’s time to step up. But it’s now official, as Elliott was released
earlier this offseason. That hasn’t been the case for at least two years, as
Elliott’s play declined as he aged and as the bruising nature of the running
back position took its toll. Several times over the next few years, many figures
have argued that Elliott, not Prescott, was the straw that stirred the drink on
offense. Prescott entered the league with Ezekiel Elliott, who led the league in
rushing and was named to the first team All-Pro list as a rookie. Prescott has
always been praised for his leadership and work ethic, but much of his time in
Dallas has centered around whether he was the driving force of the team. Just
this past year, he won the Walter Payton Man of the Year award as well, a
testament to his leadership and selflessness. Prescott became the starter in
2016 through unexpected circumstances and hasn’t looked back, winning Offensive
Rookie of the Year and twice being named to the Pro Bowl. It feels strange to
say but, with Aaron Rodgers leaving the Jets and Derek Carr leaving the Raiders,
Dak Prescott became the longest tenured starting quarterback for his team.
Today, we’re starting with the most important position, the quarterback. In
anticipation of that, let’s take an in-depth look at every position on the
roster. McCarthy has led the Cowboys to consecutive 12-win seasons, but they’ve
failed to reach the NFC Championship Game both years.Īfter getting a little more
aggressive this offseason in an attempt to get over the hump, the Cowboys are
hoping for a big 2023 season. Mike McCarthy is entering his fourth season as the
head coach of the Dallas Cowboys, but his first since taking over the offensive
play-calling.

STARFALL CALENDAR JUNE 2018

This was a fun exercise to see and learn more about the days and months. The
first thing the kids did each day they worked on the program was view the
interactive calendar. It is accessible 24/7 and we used it on weekdays as a
supplement to our curriculum and weekends if the kids requested to play on it.
We worked on this review of Starfall during January and February. Though they
had to share the same dashboard (as families are only given one account), each
boy enjoyed different aspects of the program. I used The Starfall Home
Membership with both my six year old and nine year old sons. Be sure to check
out their curriculum if you are looking for a helpful resource. They offer a
full printed curriculum that comes boxed with several additional extras (books,
games, toys, manipulatives) that go along with the curriculum too. You can use
this resource online, or purchase the printed curriculum. Starfall also offers
an organized lesson plan already put together. It includes supplemental
worksheets, custom worksheets, posters, curriculum downloads, informative
guides, and the latest information from Starfall to keep you up to date. Looking
through the Parent – Teacher Center can help give parents ideas on how to use
the program and incorporate the program into their student’s curriculum. To see

Requirements to use the program are access to Internet service, and a computer
or a laptop or mobile internet compatible device to access the program.Ĭheck out

program that is filled with supplemental educational learning games. It is also
great for kids (or adults) of any age who are learning English As A Second
Language, any age with Special Needs, or even older kids who need Remedial work,
or to just for fun to brush up on some of the basic phonics, reading, and math
skills. It is designed for kids in PreK through 2nd grade. The Starfall Home
Membership is an educational program for younger kids. The Starfall Home
Membership subscription includes free mobile App to access the membership
account from a mobile device. We were recently given a one year subscription to
their upgraded paid version called The Starfall Home Membership in exchange for
writing an honest review of our experience.

5X5 WORKOUT REST TIME BETWEEN SETS

This allows you perform better each rep, while pushing more weight per set.įor
the larger, compound exercises like squat, bench press, and deadlift, you may
want to consider only performing the 3x3 program twice per week, as opposed to
three times, due to increased intensity.ĭuring the peak phase it's important to
focus on increasing weight, more so than increasing the number of reps
performed. 5x5 Peak PhaseĪfter 4-6 weeks of prepping, you're ready for the 5x5
peaking phase, which is where you begin to follow a 3x3 model of 3 sets of an
exercise at 3 reps each. With proper nutrition and training, by the time you've
reached the 4-6 week mark, you should be setting new weight maxes and seeing
significant increases in strength and size (best when done in a "bulking" phase,
or calorie surplus). If, by decreasing the weight, you end up back at your
original weight, then perform your exercises for an additional week at their
original weights to help build the strength necessary for a weight increase. If
you're unable to complete the entire 5x5 set/rep range with the increased weight
then you need to reduce the increased weight to one that allows you to complete
the entire program. For free weights, we recommend increasing weight by 5lbs per
dumbbell and by 10lbs (each side) on barbell exercises. Increasing Weight
ProperlyĪfter the first week, once you're able to properly complete (focus on
proper form) all of your sets at the proper weight range, it's important to
gradually increase your weight in order to maximize strength gains. The entire
training program is centered around being able to complete all 25 reps, so it's
entirely important to find the proper weight range for each exercise. The weight
should be heavy enough to where you cannot complete 6-8 reps of 5 sets, but also
light enough to where you're able to finish all 5 sets. Finding the Proper
Weight Rangeįocus on finding a weight range that allows you to complete 5 sets
of a given exercise, at 5 reps per set (25 total reps).

Proper prepping starts with finding the proper weights to start with. During the
first week of your 5x5 regimen it's important to prepare your body, allowing it
to grow accustomed to this type of training.

BABA MARTA CELEBRATE IN BG IMAGE

The main activities of the association are related to education and direct work
with different groups of people - those with risky sexual behavior, drug
addiction, youth with disabilities, young people with delinquent behavior, young
people from the Roma community and an outstanding young people from elite
schools. After such long and hard winters – everyone knows how cold it can be
here in winter – it’s nice to be able to finally celebrate the coming of spring
and somehow, the Baba Marta also honours friendship and good relations among
people.Īssociation "Thirst for Life" is a nonprofit organization established in
2005. The Martenitsa is one of my favourite Bulgarian traditions, it seems to be
a very beautiful festivity. You can find them in streets, in parks, in the
mountains when you go hiking, just everywhere. In Bulgaria, you can see
Martenitsas hanging everywhere, in every month of the year, because no one takes
them off, only the wind and the animals. Then, they hang their Martenitsas on
budding trees and bushes. People wear their Martenitsas until 22 March, or until
they see a stork or the first budding plant, two signs of the coming spring.
These gifts are obviously appreciated, and others are usually given in return.
The giving of the present is usually accompanied by the wish “ Chestita Baba
Marta!” which means “Happy Grandma-March”. Giving a Martenitsa to a sibling, a
friend, a teacher or a colleague is a sign of appreciation and a well-wishing
gesture. Pizho is white with red decorations, and Penda is red with white
decorations. The Martenitsa dolls are a couple, male and female, and their names
are Pizho and Penda. Generally, people give Martenitsas in form of bracelets,
which are the most comfortable to wear, while the doll-shaped Martenitsas are
usually pinned to the chest. Martenitsas are usually made of wool, but recently
new materials have been added, like plastic, leather or paper. It can be a
bracelet, a brooch, a doll, or it can have other shapes designed for children.
Which shapes do Martenitsas have?Ī Martenitsa can come in different shapes.
There, they celebrated the sacred wedding of the Earth and the Sun. It is also
called “uterus cave”, and has been a sacred site for the Thracians for a very
long time. The first photo shows a natural cave located in Bulgaria that has the
unmistakable shape of a vagina. The ancient Thracians saw the Earth as a maiden
who was penetrated by the Sun and thus became the Mother of all Life. My own
interpretation, not only mine, rises from the fact that this festivity is much
older than Bulgaria as a nation, therefore it seems clear to me that it is a
celebration for the rebirth of life and the arrival of spring. Both colours
represent the unity of Bulgaria, and of Bulgarians. The contemporary
nationalistic interpretation is that red represents, blood, strength,
friendship, warmth, and the sun and white stands for light and purity. The
colours are not chosen randomly, they have a meaning. They are beautiful
decorations that are traditionally made of white and red wool, often
intertwined. The festivity is also called Martenitsa on this day people exchange
small gifts that are called, in fact, Martenitsa. It is a unique and ancient
tradition, dating back 1,000 years at least, which celebrates the arrival of
spring after the long and harsh winter. Actually, the Baba Marta day is not
connected with anyone named Marta, but with the Bulgarian word “Mart”, which
means March. The 1st of March is a very special day in Bulgaria: it’s when the
Baba Marta (grandma Marta) is celebrated.

lieu of filing a bankruptcy. Up to this point the loan for our car was in good
standing. We do not control how or whether the BBB safeguards our response or
the *** in our response after submission. We may include Personally Identifiable
Information (***) as necessary to the complaint as submitted by the customer.
Please know LFS strives for excellence in customer satisfaction and we sincerely
appreciate ***************** for bringing this matter to TFSs attention. We have

gives you the option to clean your car in between rally sections, the time
penalties for doing so aren't too harsh. You'll still deal with a limited number
of times you can retry a track per season, and the online leaderboards for each
leg of the course indicate how well you're doing, even if you can easily beat
every CPU opponent. You can change the game's difficulty at almost any time, and
those playing on the easiest level won't miss out on anything. The result is a
campaign that is tough yet breezy (depending on your settings), while also
demonstrating some pinpoint-accurate driving once you learn how to manage your
braking and acceleration. The HUD isn't filled with meters and stats, giving you
a better view of the track since there aren't too many guides in your peripheral
vision that need attention. It makes your car look small, but it also comes with
the benefit of seeing more of the course, which you'll value since you have no
co-pilot firing off directions in advance. The viewpoint defaults to one that's
situated high and behind the player, which matches up with one of the viewpoints
in Virtua Racing. On a side note, it is cool to see a rally title where the
crowd is foolish enough to crowd the road, but they always move out of the way
in time, so you don't mow them down.Įven though the game uses simulation-style
steering and physics, it doesn't do everything so as not to overwhelm the
player. Drifting becomes a must in the later stages. As in other rally titles,
you'll learn quickly how to feather the gas and brake while also hitting the
handbrake and taking sharp hairpin turns. Driving at top speeds all the time is
a surefire way to miss sharp turns, and it's easy to jump off inclines. You may
fishtail at first, but it won't get as bad as spinning from a bad turn. Even if
you're driving on the driest of roads, your rally car exhibits slickness while
turning at high speeds.

Get to the actual racing itself, and you'll find that the game's offbeat nature
disguises how much of a simulation it is. Even if you normally groan at this
sort of thing, you're bound to find a name that's worthy of a giggle.

They perform and sound as expected, but they are named differently. The same
goes for the cars that look like their real-life counterparts, especially with
the correct livery in place. As a testament to the game's writing team, the
names on the leaderboards are punny, but you'll still be able to recognize who
they're referencing if you know your racing history. Don't expect the impromptu
history lessons to be definitive, since the game doesn't sport any licensed cars
or the names of real-life racers. You'll even take a detour to Group B, a group
that was stopped at its height due to the high number of linked fatalities the
group lives on in this game with the notion that the casualties never occurred
in an alternate universe.Īs you go through this interactive history lesson,
you'll unlock cars and liveries, which are accompanied by the sound of cheering
children. You go through the 1960s to the 1990s, and you'll use cars that are
synonymous with groups 3, 4, S, and A. It starts with a giant Buddha statue
coming down from the sky to spout about the wonders of rally racing before
sending you on a course that goes through the highlights of the sport. The
Career mode's introduction sets up the game's playful approach to racing.
