SUMMER VEGETABLES

Lohr-A-Lee Greenhouses is renowned for its summer production of premium,
greenhouse-grown pickling cucumbers, peppers & fresh tomatoes.

To ensure availability, we offer sign-up sheets where customers can reserve
their preferred quantities and schedule a pick-up time for pickling cucumbers
and tomatoes. These lists fill up quickly, with committed orders prioritized,
and any surplus is then made available to the public.

Lohr-A-Lee Greenhouses is a true local producer.
Our production is sold directly from the greenhouses to the local end-user
consumer.

We had the privilege of hosting members of the Alberta Greenhouse Growers
Association for a tour of our greenhouses, yard and solar/cogeneration systems.
Following the visit, we were deeply honored to be selected as Greenhouse Growers
of the Year, receiving a beautiful plaque and flowers at the Annual Horticulture
Trade Show and Garden Party in Red Deer this past November. This recognition is
a tremendous honor for our team, and we are grateful for the support and
acknowledgment from our peers in the industry.

Lohr-A-Lee Greenhouses is a fourth-generation Alberta Pioneer family business,
rooted in tradition since our arrival in Lacombe from South Dakota on September
4, 1900. For over 123 years, we have upheld the core values of hard work,
fairness, and integrity that have defined our legacy. Our commitment to sharing
deep knowledge, experience, and exceptional customer service has earned us the
trust and respect of the community we serve. At Lohr-A-Lee, we take pride in
being recognized for our honesty and dedication to fairness.


SINCE 1900

Our top priority is delivering the highest quality products and exceptional
customer service. With two professional horticulturists, Carolyn and Valerie, on
our team, we not only ensure premium products and service but also offer expert
horticultural advice and recommendations, backed by deep knowledge and
experience.

Lohr-A-Lee Greenhouses strives to incorporate sustainable farming methods to
ensure safe, high-quality production. Various environmentally safe measures such
as the use of beneficial insects to control aphids and pests throughout the
greenhouse are continuously implemented to combat pests instead of using
pesticides.

Lohr-A-Lee Greenhouses is proud to operate entirely off the grid, thanks to the
installation of co-generation power plants and two solar panel systems. These
systems generate 100% of the electricity needed for our entire farm, including
the greenhouses. Any surplus energy produced is efficiently exported back to the
grid.
