We are located in Orem Utah off 800 North and State Street. 3 year old class M&W 9:30 am -11:00 am 4-5 year old class T&TH 9:30 am -12:00 pm Home: About Us OUR CLASSES “children learn best when they are actively involved with materials and with others. That’s why our resources for preschool programs place so much emphasis on setting up the proper learning environment and building positive, meaningful relationships with children and their families.” 3 YEAR OLD CLASS 3 year old class goals ABCs: Be able to recite them NUMBERS: Be able to count to 20 and identify 1-10 number by site. NAMES: Write their names without assistance. COLORS AND SHAPES: Identify all primary shapes and colors. FINE MOTOR SKILLS: Coloring, cutting, gluing, etc. PRE WRITING SKILLS: Kids start writing letters, numbers, name, etc. 4-5 YEAR OLD CLASS Goals for 4 & 5 year old class COLOR AND SHAPES. Know all primary colors and shapes NUMBERS 1-20. Count, Identify and write the numbers. ABCs. Recite, identify and write. Learn the abc’s, sounds, and begin reading. PHONICS. Site words and 3 & 4 letter words. LANGUAGE SKILLS. READING SKILLS. Above all PLAY and HAVE FUN! CREATIVE CURRICULUM A popular teaching approach among a variety of private preschools and Head Start programs, it was developed in the late 1980s by an academic (who later formed the company Teaching Strategies) and is based on current information on how children develop and learn. Emphasis is placed on 4 developmental areas; social/emotional, cognitive, physical and language. We observe children’s interactions with their learning environment to assess skills, interests and abilities and come up with activities or learning experiences that encourage social, emotional and new skill development. Home: Programs FIELD TRIPS We go on as many field trips as we can. This is a highlight for the students every year. This will usually happen a few weeks before school starts in the fall. During this time Mrs. Nina will come meet your smart cookie and give them a t-shirt to be worn on the first day of school and on field trips. This will be a great time for Mrs. Nina to get to know the students and answer any questions the students may have. There will be a open house for students to come check out there new school and have some cookies and milk! Check back for the date! We’re so excited to start preschool! **Your smart cookies slot is not reserved until the application is filled out and the material fee is paid. Before leaving for college I worked as a dental assistant in a Pediatric Dental Office. While in college I worked at Lollipops Daycare/Pre-school in Springville Utah. I graduated from UVU in 2012 with my Bachelor’s in Behavioral Science. I have since been raising my four beautiful daughters. We recently moved back to the United States after living in Spain for a year while my Husband finished his MBA. I am committed to helping children learn to read, write, play, make friends and above all, have fun! So come and learn with us! I am is so excited to meet all of my smart cookies! Once enrolled, I will contact you, (in August) and schedule a time where I can come to your home and get to know you! I will bring your new t-shirt to wear on your first day of school and to be worn when we go on field trips!
