WELCOME TO PALAMPUR SCIENCE CENTRE, PALAMPUR

Palampur Science Centre, Palampur is a constituent unit of National Council of
Science Museums, Ministry of Culture, Govt. of India. Palampur Science Centre is
working for the popularization of science and development of scientific
temperament among general public especially students of Palampur and other
regions of Himachal Pradesh. It is situated along the Mandi-Pathankot National
Highway. It is well equipped with science park, science galleries, exhibition
hall, innovation hub, auditorium, conference room etc. Apart from this, various
educational programmes like popular science lecture, science demonstration,
science seminars, teacher training programmes, science film festivals, science
drama are held in routine basis to develop scientific temperament and promotion
of science popularization.


OBJECTIVES /MOTTO/AIM

 * Popularization of Science among general public especially children and
   youngsters.
 * Conservation of Nation’s Science & Technology Heritage.
 * Aim to attain scientific literacy for country.
 * Development of scientific awareness and scientific temperament
 * To organize various educational programmes which are fruitful for the
   students, teachers and society at large.
 * To supplement and support the curriculum of schools and colleges by providing
   training to the teachers.
 * To inspire young minds for novel ideas and innovative thinking.
 * Showcasing the developments and achievements of different fields of science &
   technology.
 * To promote science teaching-learning based on the concepts of 'learning by
   doing' and ‘learning is fun'
