All About Cammarata Pediatric Dentistry Group

We are a Pediatric Dental Specialty Practice

It’s Easy to Schedule a FUN Visit with Cammarata Pediatric Dentistry Group

Email us at

info@Kids-Teeth.com

Our doctors and team are dedicated to great dental experiences.

Our doctors, along with the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry recommend
you bring your child in by his or her first birthday.

During your first visit, you will be introduced to our Pediatric Dental Team,
given an office tour and discuss your child’s unique smile and ways to keep it
beautiful for years to come.

Depending on the age of your child, he or she will either be given a
knee-to-knee examination (where your baby’s head will rest on our doctor’s knee
while their body is on your lap) or a regular exam in the doctor’s chair.

We request that you complete our First Visit Forms prior to arriving for your
appointment. This helps our office keep your and everyone else’ scheduled visit
on time.

Remembering the dentist as FUN is an effort from every team member.

Our mission is to provide the infants, children, and teens of our community with
preventive, restorative and
orthodontic dental care in a gentle, caring, professional environment that sets
dental excellence and patient care

as its highest goal.

Our vision is to become an icon for providing excellent pediatric dental care
and to develop into a pillar of

respect and support for our community.

All our doctors are pediatric dentists,
they specialize in the treatment and prevention of dental disease, as well as
the overall oral health of children. Through extra years of schooling, training,
experience, and certification, a pediatric dentist is uniquely qualified to
treat the dental needs of infants, children, adolescents, teens as well as those
with special healthcare needs.

Why Choose a Pediatric Dentist?

A pediatric patient not only has a different dentition than adults but he/she
may have specific dental and behavioral needs that are unique to a child. These
needs may include orthodontics, sealants, fluoride applications or home
treatments, or just simply education in oral hygiene. In addition to treating
existing dental problems, our office focuses on prevention through patient and
parent education.

We like to feel that you and your child do not come to our office to have their
“cavities fixed” but rather to prevent them. We strive to provide all of the
educational tools necessary for our patients to enjoy a cavity-free future.

Learn about our kids dental specialty:

defining tongue-tie & lip-tie

Most of us think of tongue-tie as a situation we find ourselves in when we are
too excited to speak. Actually, tongue-tie is the non-medical term for
ankyloglossia, a relatively common physical condition that limits the use of the
tongue. Similarly, lip-tie is a condition where the upper lip has restricted
mobility and function.

As we develop in the womb, a tight string of tissue called a frenum, located
under the tongue and lip, is supposed to recede and become thinner. It is easily
visible and felt when using a mirror. Everyone has a frenum, but in some people
the frenum fails to recede and is too tight, thick or short and causes mobility
problems.

The tongue and lip are a very complex group of muscles and are important for
all oral functions. For this reason, having a tongue-tie can lead to many issues
with nursing, bottle feeding, dental, speech, sleep, solid feeding and so much
more.

“My daughter had a pretty rough dentist experience in the past. Once she was
seen by Dr. Shisler she now feels safe and certain she will be taken care of. In
addition my son (being younger) is a little terrified of dentists however Dr
Shisler was patient and let him know everything was going to be ok! Thank you
much!”

“I have been taking my kids to Dr. Cammarata for several years.

This office is very well run.  I have never had to wait more than 3 minutes
after arriving to be called back and the only a few minutes more before the kids
are in the chairs.  They are able to schedule both kids at the same time.  I
have never had a billing problem.   Cleanings and fillings are done with amazing
speed.

The environment is totally kid friendly.  There is a place to play video games
in the waiting room and another area for books and toys.  The kids get to watch
Disney movies while their teeth are worked upon.   As my kids say, this is as
good as dental offices can get.

I pay out of pocket so I can attest to the fact that pricing is very fair even
though the office is so new/clean/pretty that you expect to be overcharged.”

– Erica H

“Fantastic Pedi Dentist! Friendly, Kid Friendly, professional, kid oriented,
great atmosphere, clean, energetic! Can't wait to go back!”

– Stephanie B

“Thanks to Dr. Cunningham and rest of the staff for taking such good care of my
son. I'm very grateful that they made it a pleasant experience for him.”

– Rob F

“Our family loves this practice! Dr. Cammarata and Dr. Cunningham and staff are
absolutely the most careful and detailed pediatric practice. Our children have
always felt at ease during appointments. The atmosphere is friendly!”

– Gretchen G

“Very good experience yesterday when our 8-year old son Merce had a tooth
pulled. Excellent job by the staff.”

– Daragh C

“We were overjoyed with our visit to Dr. Cammarata's office.  This was our son's
first visit to a dentist, and we are grateful that it was so positive,
welcoming, and child-focused.  From the time we walked in, we were warmly
welcomed by Jocelyn.  Amanda the hygienist was fabulous with our 2 year old.  We
were wondering how they would get him to cooperate, but it was apparent that the
staff members are well-trained and that they understand children.  Finally, Dr.
Cammarata gets accolades from us!  She was thorough, kind, and professional.”

– T Herbert

“Hands down the best Children's Pediatric Dental office in Houston, TX. Numerous
kids and many appointments later we can confirm each visit has been minimal wait
times. The staff are very diligent and friendly and of course Dr. Rita Cammarata
is a true professional who is very kind and considerate. The office is always
busy which in itself is a testament to its success.”

– Austin H

“I took my four year old son here this morning and was SO PLEASED with the
service. The dental hygienist, Theresa, was so sweet and took a lot of time
making my son feel comfortable with the process. Dr. Cammarata was great too. I
highly recommend this place!”

– Marcille B

“This is a GREAT pediatric dentist! I've been bringing my son to Dr. Cammarata
for several years now and this place is light years beyond the places I grew up
going to.

The people are all great, kid-liking people. Dr. C is great with kids and her
entire staff is amazing at managing tons of kids throughout the day. We've had
cavities even filled here without issue, which isn't even possible for me to get
through myself (baby that I am...)

The facility is really cool. Awesome lobby that kids are into, they bring kids
right back to two playrooms (a kiddie one and now one with four different video
game systems). You go back and forth to play from one procedure to another,
cleaning, x-ray, and finally Dr. C. No awkward waiting in between because you
just get to play, prizes for getting through and movies and sunglasses during
the procedures. Too bad they don't take grown-ups....”

– Joe B

“My child has been a patient of Dr. Cammarata  for 3 years now, and I tell you
she's one fantastic, professional, patient, Doctor! I don't think l could have
chosen a better dentist office to care for my child's teeth.

This dentist office is fully staffed with professional hygienists whom love kids
and  most importantly their job.

The staff are fully licensed and trained extensively! You won't be disappointed
l can honestly say. What more can you ask for?  "A kid-friendly office" ,
"professional staff", "extremely clean office",  "Game room", and last but not
least, Dr. Cammarata  who sits bedside and exams your kid mouth thoroughly. I
mean thoroughly!!!!!

You cannot go wrong with this office!  I am Cammarata spoiled! She  and her Crew
ROCKS!”

– Cowada H

“My daughter is SUPER apprehensive which is why her last treatment at another
Pediatric Dentistry didn't go well at all. She left the place crying and saying
she never wanted to return. I began to search for a new pediatric dentist and
through a referral found Cammarata. OMG!! I was not used to being treated so
well. From the front desk to the entire staff everyone is so professional,
friendly welcoming and eager to please. The office is very kid friendly. They
made my daughter feel like a princess and listened to her talk which she did
because she felt at ease. She had treatment today and I left amazed at the great
teamwork Dr. Taylor and Vilma presented. She was able to watch the movie Frozen
during her treatment. Dr. Taylor continuously asked her if she was ok and
ensured she was doing ok throughout. My daughter did awesome thanks to Dr.
Taylor and Vilma her assistant. Before we left my daughter was alert and happy.
Few hours after we left the office called to check in and see how my daughter
was doing. This office really steps up their game. I was totally not expecting
that. Everything is well explained and allows you to ask any questions you might
have. Also, I was able to sit in with my daughter which was not allowed at the
other pediatric dentist. The experience was totally opposite to what happened at
the previous dentist office. I am super happy to have found my kids new
dentist!!!!”
