To become a member click here: Meadows Membership Packet How does Meadows PTSA help support Meadows Elementary? The PTSA provides funds to help pay for classroom necessities and teacher requests, as well as field trips, after school clubs and educational assemblies. We also sponsor the fun school events such as the Scholastic Book Fair, Movie Nights, Field Day, Fun Runs, assemblies and more. Do I need to join every year? YES! Your membership starts when you sign up and runs until Summer. Then you need to rejoin the next year to stay active. What are the benefits of joining the Meadows PTSA? By joining the PTSA you'll help support fun activities at Meadows. Youâll also get some amazing discounts through the Washington State PTA website (Washington State Fair, Great Wolf Lodge, Silverwood, Key Arena, Wild Waves, Angel of the Winds Arena, Tacoma Dome, car rentals and more) Meeting other parents and getting know what events are happening at school. Do I have to volunteer and attend PTSA meetings? Becoming a PTSA member does not require you to attend meetings or commit to volunteering. However, PTSA events canât be planned or executed without the help of volunteers, so any time you can give is always appreciated! Volunteering at Events At all schools in North Thurston Public Schools an approved volunteer application, including a background check, is required and must be done through the district in order to volunteer at an event with students present. This is for the safety and security of all students. Please apply early if you would like to volunteer at an event- approval through the district can take up to two weeks.
