 * A STORY OF GENERATIONS

   FOR GENERATIONS THEIR HAS BEEN ARTISTS IN OUR PUEBLOS ANCESTRY, AND OUR
   FAMILY ARE JUST A FEW OF THE HUNDREDS OF NATIVE ARTISTS WHO CHOSE TO CARRY ON
   THE TRADITION.

   GREAT GREAT GRANDFATHER, VALENTINO CORIZ

   Valentino would walk for miles to places like Arizona and California. He
   would trade his turquoise necklaces that were hand drilled and were locally
   mined in the Cerrillos mountains near Santa Fe, NM. He would return on
   horseback months later with a heard of sheep and other goods for the family.

   named Jimmy Koot'swy'tewa in the navy during world war II, he showed Santiago
   the tufa sandcasting technique and where to mine the sandstone.

   GRANDMOTHER, MARY CORIZ LOVATO (B.1936)
