SERVICES: Public Records Request Public Records Request+ The Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requires that the Clinton Police Department provide its records to anyone who requests them in writing and who includes a reasonable description of the records being requested. Certain records may be exempt from disclosure under FOIA. To obtain a FOIA request form, download the form from the link below or visit the Records Division inside the Police Department, 305 Monroe Street. For more information, please call 601-924-5252. Public Records Request Form Community Outreach Community Outreach+ Community Outreach and education programs for the Clinton Police Department include the Citizens’ Police Academy, Neighborhood Night Out, Community outreach and crime prevention seminars, and the Internet Transaction Safe Zone. Learn more → Police & Crime Reports Police & Crime Reports+ Partnerships between the community and Police Department are powerful examples of how a community can thrive and crime be reduced. Support of the Police Department by Clinton residents remains a powerful tool in encouraging law enforcement to build relationships with the community. Clinton is about belonging to a family and the low crime rate is a sign of a caring and engaged family. Accident Reports If you have been involved in a vehicular accident in the City of Clinton, you should have been given a card with the case number. To obtain the report, visit the DPS website and enter your case number. If you do not have the case number, you can still look up the report based on other information. Police Reports Police Reports may be obtained in person from the Clinton Police Department for $20.00 fee (cash only). In order to obtain a report you must have the case number or the following items/information: – Valid picture ID – Location of incident – Time and date of incident – Name of the person who made the report Please visit the Records Division inside the Police Department, 305 Monroe Street. For more information, please call 601-924-5252 ext. 141 and 140. Wherever you live, work or play, Clinton is your place to belong and experience peace of mind. Learn more → House Watch House Watch+ House Watch is a police service that helps protect unoccupied homes while Clinton residents are away. Police will inspect homes periodically to help ensure their security. * Requests to enroll in House Watch may only be made by the homeowner or current resident. * There is a 2 week maximum for all House Watches. House Watches are for short-term periods of vacancy such as vacations. * If your plans change and you will be returning sooner or later than the dates originally stated, please call the Clinton Police Department as soon as possible. There is no need to notify the Police Department if you are returning when scheduled.
