CRITICAL CARE ECHOCARDIOGRAPHY REVIEW COURSE
Explore all aspects of echocardiography in critically ill patients and prepare
for the critical care echocardiography board examination.
Explore all aspects of echocardiography in critically ill patients and prepare
for the critical care echocardiography board examination with the 2022 Critical
Care Echocardiography Review Course. Attend in person in Rosemont, Illinois,
November 9-11, or access content online, available by December 12. Led by highly
skilled multiprofessional experts, the course prepares participants for the
critical care echocardiography board examination and provides them with valuable
information for staying up to date on the latest in team-based care and
ultrasound and echocardiography education. Participants are eligible to receive
CE/ACE credit and maintenance of certification points.
On completion of the course, learners will be able to:

Critical care clinicians are increasingly using echocardiography to rapidly and
noninvasively diagnose shock, hemodynamic instability, and respiratory failure;
evaluate cardiac function; and track response to interventions. This Concise

development of the first Examination of Special Competence in Critical Care

individual registration fees will be reimbursed. SCCM shall not be liable for

society. Physician assistants may receive a maximum of 24.5 Category 1 credits

Maintenance of Certification
Successful completion of this accredited continuing education (ACE) activity,
which includes participation and a passing score of 70% in the evaluation
component/posttest, enables the participant to earn up to 24.5 medical
knowledge maintenance of certification (MOC) points in the American Board of
Internal Medicine (ABIM), American Board of Anesthesia (ABA), and American Board
of Surgery (ABS) MOC programs. Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to

concern, but are not limited to, the awarding of credit for individual

* A written complaint or grievance should be submitted to the Education
Department.
* The Education Department will attempt to resolve the grievance of the
complainant.
* If the initial response is unsatisfactory to the complainant, the matter will
be referred to the CEO/EVP for action.
* If the response from the CEO/EVP is unsatisfactory to the complainant, the
matter will be referred to the SCCM Executive Committee. The ruling of the
Executive Committee will be final.
