It's very rewarding to help the athletes achieve their goals and we have a lot of fun at practices and tournaments. I look forward to the start of a new season just as much as the athletes do." Gisele Lumsden, Floor Hockey Coach "SO school programs really give my students a place to shine. They see the other sports teams competing and now they are able to do that as well. It helped them with their self-esteem, confidence, and enjoyment of the game." Crystal Peiman, John Diefenbaker Senior School "I have been teaching for 34 years. My affiliation with the Special Olympics has been a highlight of my career. I am retiring but will continue to promote and support the Special Olympics." - Janice Yemensky, Notre Dame H.S. This land is governed by the Dish with one spoon covenant between the Haudenosaunee Confederacy and the Confederacy of Ojibway and Allied Nations. This covenant is an agreement to share, work and protect this land together in harmony. Today, this meeting place is still the home to many Indigenous people from across Turtle Island and we are grateful to have the opportunity to work, live and play on this land.
