Welcome

On behalf of the staff, students and governors of Mary Elliot School, I would
like to welcome you to the school and encourage you to browse through our
website. I hope that in doing this you will capture the ethos of the school and
what we are striving to achieve.
Our Shared Aims

To provide access to a broad balanced student-centred curriculum which is
relevant to the needs of every student and which prepares them for their future
life by developing the skills and abilities essential to independent adult
living, acknowledging for many, the sheltered nature this may imply.
To promote a safe, caring and stimulating environment that gives positive
encouragement to all, and recognises and values the contributions of all it’s
members.
To encourage the development of self-confidence, self respect, responsibility
and self reliance, together with an awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of
others.
These aims are best achieved through a close working partnership between home
and school. I hope this prospectus is the beginning of such a partnership and
helps you to gain some insight into our school.

Kind regards,

Mr Adrian Coleman
Head Teacher
