WHERE EMERGING TECHNOLOGIES MEET HUMANITY

WHAT IF YOU COULD SEE TECHNOLOGY SHIFTS BEFORE THEY HIT THE HEADLINES? WHAT IF
YOU COULD THINK FOR YOURSELF AND SEE THE PATTERNS THAT MATTER?

CONNECT THE DOTS

In a landscape of constant technological disruption, understanding the full
picture isn’t just helpful – it’s essential.

Not everyone understands this, instead they specialise. This is a mistake.

Too many ignore the convergence, forget that technologies respond to each other,
the ripples of AI impact the trajectory of quantum, advancements in blockchain
alter the progress of AI. Robotics, nano-tech and automation add propulsion to
the fly-wheel of technology, each in-turn nudging the others.

Thinking On Paper is for those who understand this. A podcast, book club and
futurist think tank for the Disruptors And Curious Minds who want to connect the
dots of the emerging technologies.

(86) The European Crypto Landscape: Regulation, Innovation, and Challenges –
With Head Of Coinbase France, Come Prost-Boucle

The European cryptocurrency landscape is rapidly evolving, with new regulations,
innovative projects, and unique challenges shaping its future. We speak with
Come Prost-Boucle, French Country Manager for Coinbase, about the current state
of crypto in Europe.

A major focus of the discussion is the upcoming Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA)
regulation. This regulatory framework aims to provide clarity and
standardization across the European Union, potentially giving Europe an
advantage over other regions in terms of crypto adoption and innovation.

Boucle explains how Coinbase is preparing for these changes, including plans to
restrict services for stablecoins that don’t meet MiCA requirements.

The conversation also covers the growing interest in tokenization and real-world
assets (RWAs) in Europe. With the tokenized asset market expected to reach $16
trillion by 2030, this represents a significant opportunity for the crypto
industry. Boucle explains how Coinbase is working to make crypto more accessible
through improved user experiences, such as smart wallets and simplified
onboarding processes.

Please enjoy the show.

EXPLORING EMERGING TECHNOLOGY HOLISTICALLY

Not fragmented. But unified.

Technology isn’t siloed. Neither should how you approach it.

Thinking On Paper brings you deep, unfiltered conversations with the CEOS,
founders and thinkers building our collective tomorrow. Across technologies.

 * AI & Machine Learning
 * Quantum Technologies
 * Blockchain & Web3
 * Biotech & Synthetic Biology
 * Next-Gen Computing
 * Humanity Centered Design
 * VR and Spatial Computing
 * Video Gaming
 * Music

READ BETWEEN THE LINES

Because in a world of hot takes and headlines, depth matters. The oldest
technology is the book. Which is lucky, because it’s also our favourite. That’s
why we ditch the 15-minute book summary and instead read deeply, think
strategically, and see further.

Books:

 * Clear Thinking, Shane Parrish
 * Quantum Supremacy, Michio Kaku
 * The Design Of Everyday Things, Don Norman
 * Nexus: Augmented Thinking For A Complex World, Julio Ottino
 * The Order Of Time, Carlo Rovelli
 * Nexus, Yuval Noah Harrari
