ABOUT WARSH ONLINE

Experienced teachers in both Riwayat Warsh and Riwayat Hafs

Our master and preserver of the Qur'an, 'Uthman b. 'Affan, narrated that the
Prophet ﷺ said
"The best of you are those who learn the Qur'an, then teach it."

From 2004 - 2011, Al-Sharifah Yousra, the teacher and founder of Warsh
Online, devoted the greater part of her youth in Fes, Morocco studying the
Qur'an. She then began teaching in 2012.



Imam Malik b. Anas, the Imam of Medina, preferred the recitation of his teacher
'Nafi' as the most representative of the Prophet's own recitation ﷺ. This
recitation (Riwayat Warsh) is still predominant in West Africa until today, and
in 2018, Warsh Online was initiated to gift this beautiful recitation of the
Book of Allah to children worldwide. 



Al-Sharifah Yousra has an ijaza in Riwayat Warsh and is currently pursuing
an ijaza in the ten Qira'at in Fes, Morocco.

THE ONLINE PROGRAM

Classes are held Monday - Thursday each week.



*Attendance Policy: If the student is unable to attend a lesson, please notify
the teacher a day before so that it can be made up in the future, otherwise
the lesson will not be made up.

ONE-ON-ONE LESSONS (30 MINUTES)

Memorization with Tajwid (Warsh or Hafs)



 * 1 lesson per week / 4 per month: $110/month

 * 2 lessons per week / 8 per month: $210/month

 * 3 lessons per week / 12 per month: $300/month

REQUIREMENTS

 * Open to students ages 11 - 25

 * Able to understand Arabic (even if at a beginner level) as lessons are taught
   in Arabic

 * Able and willing to review and memorize between sessions

 * Have internet access as classes are conducted online


ONLINE VIDEO CALL

Lessons will be conducted on a two-way video platform ensuring that classes be
interactive, engaging, and productive.


CONVENIENCE

For some students and families, it may prove difficult to go back and forth to
sit with teachers in their locale, presuming they exist and are willing or able
to take on students for a long term commitment. What can be more convenient than
to learn in the comfort of your own home!
