Important Firmware News

- UCM61xx EOL notice: Firmware 1.0.18.x will be the last supported firmware for
UCM61xx. UCM61xx will no longer receive new features, but will continue to
receive critical security updates and major bug fixes.

- UCM6xxx Upgrade Notice: Please upgrade all UCM devices to latest official
firmware for product lifespan and security improvements.

 

Firmware for all Grandstream products are improved and updated on a regular
basis.  Please check for the latest upgrade for your product or sign up to
receive newsletter for new/beta firmware releases.

Grandstream recommends using HTTP protocol for firmware upgrades. Please note
our public firmware upgrade server is using HTTP.

implementation, please read release notes for more information.

(1) GXW42xx V2 has "V2" printed for model name. For example, "Model: GXW4216
V2". If the model name doesn't have V1 or V2 printed, the device is GXW42xx V1.
(2) GXW42xx V2 has the device password printed on the label. GXW42xx V1 does not
have it.


- Once the GXW42xx V2 device is upgraded to 1.0.3.x+, it cannot be downgraded to
1.0.2 x or earlier version.

- For GXW42xx V2 device on 1.0.1.4 or earlier version to upgrade to 1.0.13.2,
the HTTP firmware upgrade path is:
