Phase 7 of the scheme runs from 1 January 2024 until 31 December 2026. The funds raised in Phase 7 will continue to be used to support Local Authority projects with the aim to increase WEEE collections and there
will be a process in place to monitor the benefits achieved throughout the phase.

Important Note: Please be advised that the Secretary of State has required that vape sales now be excluded from the DTS meaning that all stores selling vapes will now be required
to provide in-store takeback for customers buying vapes in line with the WEEE Regulations. This is irrespective of their turnover of vape sales. That does not preclude those businesses from joining the DTS in respect of other
electrical sales where they fall below the £100k threshold for membership.

Subject to the above DTS exclusion for vapes, if you have at least one physical store and sell less than £100,000pa worth of electrical (EEE) or you are online/distance sellers only of any size, then you can join for Phase 7
membership until 31/12/2026.

Distance sellers who have a physical location are also now able to join the DTS on a voluntary basis (in addition to providing takeback at that physical location) to demonstrate effective participation in a WEEE collection system to
online/distance customers.

If you have any queries about the DTS or the registration process, please contact Valpak Retail WEEE by email at DTS@valpak.co.uk or telephone 03450 682 572.
