THE DIRTIEST PLACE I'VE EVER STAYED. VALET AT YOUR OWN RISK.
This is supposed to be resort/spa hotel. However, this one fell short of my
BASIC expectations. The room was DIRTY. The bathroom counter looked like it
still had toothpaste smears from the previous traveler. EVERYTHING had dust
on it. Everything from the sheets to the pillows to the mattress had stains
all over them. They pillows were intentionally flipped to hided the stains.
I have to say that the worse part was still the check-in. Information about
breakfast, checkout, and parking should be provided without conflict. The
attendant was brash and became visibly bothered when asked about a later
checkout; to which she provide an inconclusive answer. I left for my room
uncertain about breakfast or rather a later checkout existed at all.
This place is portrayed as one of the more luxurious accommodations in
town, but it's not. Aside from the grand ballroom and such, the rest is
reminiscent of an upscale motel/value hotel. I am the type of traveler that
values positive staff interaction and clean rooms over a grand entryway and
pool. Clean rooms and helpful staff are chief and everything else is
expected of a resort/spa style hotel; it is only to elevate an already
great experience. That did not happen here. I'm not sure if I will be back
as I believe I can find much better accommodations at a $2 motel.

WEDDING
Rooms were not ready when we checked in. Valet service was great. Music at
tavern was great. All the prices were very high. Rehearsal Dinner hotel
staff were awesome. We had a great event.

NOT FOR THE PRICE
The entrance to the hotel was beautiful. The desk service with Shadish, I
can’t remember the spelling of his name but I think he said he was from
Bangladesh, was great but the rose pedals I requested for my honeymoon were
no where to be found. I’ve stayed in less expensive hotels and they
accommodate this. I was hoping my honeymoon would have that. Sunday and
Monday, all dining rooms in the hotel were closed except for room service.
This was disappointing as it was, again, our honeymoon. We decided to get a
massage in the spa, they separated us and this was not something I expected
as I wanted to enjoy the spa with my new spouse so we had our massage and
went into the pool area. The pool was nice except for all the unaccompanied
children in the hot tub and no clean towels. There were no attendants to
monitor this area except the bar tender and the door to enter the pool was
unlocked to anyone without a keycard. Who could blame the bartender for
being busy? Back in our room we enjoyed room service and I wasn’t aware
that our fridge and coffee maker were hiding under the TV. I ordered a pot
with room service because I thought we had none. Haha! The shower was nice,
tons of helpful items like q-tips and soaps, the shower corners and tub
needed to be scrubbed of black mold. The shower seals were coming out, I
told the front desk. The cleaners need to be given more than 30 minutes to
clean rooms! Not fair to anyone. For breakfast the next morning, we ordered
room service, I called for a to go box and was told I’d have to come get it
from the front desk. My room was on the fifth floor and I was trying to
leave before checkout. The bed was very comfy, the Tv was easily logged in
to Netflix and you could use your phone as a remote. Very nice! The scenery
was nice from the balcony but I was surprised to share a balcony with the
people in the room next to us. I forgot to tell the front desk that the
balcony railing is loose and you can actually lift part of it off. This is
dangerous and should be taken care of immediately. I loved the robes and
unused slippers, made us feel special. I loved that room service walks in
with the trays to put them where we asked. The bbq brisket sandwich with
caramelized onions and cheese was to die for and the cheesecake was so
smooth! The AC was set to 71 but it was a little warm so I set it to 69. We
keep ours on 74 at home. The rest of my review is too long. Sorry I
couldn’t get the rest here.
