I completed a piano concerto, choral music, chamber music, as well as experimental music with custom made instruments. I developed a love of creative writing and poetry as a college student. After college, I smashed the drums in a hard rock band with my brother, toured and performed, recorded and produced songs in studios, and eventually ran a production company with him. I later co-founded the Murrieta Academy of Music in Murreita, CA. After becoming a dad, I attended Azusa Pacific University and earned a MA Ed Digital Teaching and Learning degree (2012) and became a credentialed teacher in Social Science and Music. I currently work as a high school assistant principal at Temescal Canyon High in Lake Elsinore, CA, and enjoy Python programming and web automation for data analysis as I oversee many departments. I’m happiest with my wife and kids and when I’m creating, whether it be music, art, poetry, or fiction (or self-aggrandizing websites). HADRON – SCI FI NOVEL HADRON is a science fiction novel of 64,292 words. I am looking for a literary agent to represent HADRON as well as the prequel which is in the works. HadronBook.com Here is the query letter/pitch for HADRON: Hadron is the clone of another man, he just doesn’t know it yet. Hadron has completely distinct memories of his father, whom he desperately wants to please. When Hadron’s father takes him on a supply expedition to a downed ship, he finds an old helmet. A voice in the helmet speaks to Hadron, telling him it knows who he is. Hadron lies to his father about the voice, setting off a chain reaction of tragic events that lead to a horrifying discovery. That discovery is Rieman, (who Hadron technically should be). The last Engineered Man alive, Rieman has stolen secrets, survived schemes, and learned to replicate himself with his memory intact, effectively making himself immortal. He learns to erase his enemies and anything else that is weak from his mind during each iteration of himself to ensure his will is the last testament. Rieman’s improvised method of memory hacking is violent self-destruction followed by an immediate, contrived resurrection using old technology in machines called Replicators. But memory is a tricky thing. When one of Rieman’s copies wakes up on its own, it throws his violent cycle into disarray, so he goes looking for the copy to kill it. Rieman discovers Hadron, and the story comes full circle. Hadron must come to terms with who he really is. The stakes of the confrontation are high. Preserve memory, or control it, and the future that it unfolds. email me: awonacott [at] gmail.com or Instagram @imalwaysuptosomething * Instagram
