GWEN JOHN “RUE TERRA NEUVE MEUDON”

John was a Welsh artist who worked in France for most of her career.
Overshadowed during her lifetime by her brother Augustus John and her lover
Auguste Rodin, her reputation has grown steadily since her death. In this
hour-long video, we are inspired by her energetic brushstrokes and close values.

PAUL CEZANNE “THREE PEARS”

Pay homage to the father of Abstract Painting with this lovely still life of
pears. We will create our own colorful version of his beautiful still life from

One of my big loves, David Hockney, is known for his exuberant use of color and
skewed perspective. I'll show you how to mix his bright colors with ease and

VINCENT’S POPPIES

In this hour long class, I’ll show you step by step how to recreate this
beautiful painting by Vincent. Color mixing, brushwork and composition are all

GEORGIA O’KEEFFE “CANYON WITH CROWS”

One of O'Keeffe's lesser-known watercolors provides the inspiration for this
class. Bring your love of the desert and the smell of sage home with your own

MATISSE “OPEN WINDOW AT COLLIOURE”

Join me for an hour of brilliant color and luscious brush strokes. Matisse
painted this vibrant scene while in the South of France with his friend, Andre

MAURICE DE VLAMINCK “SOUS BOIS”

Painted in 1905, this Expressionist landscape bursts with vibrant color. Watch

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


 * ARE THESE CLASSES FOR BEGINNERS?
   
   
   Absolutely! I cover everything you need to know in both Procreate and acrylic
   classes. Check out my YouTube channel for videos, too. You’ll find plenty of
   help over there.
   
   
   
   


 * WILL THERE BE A REPLAY?
   
   
   Yes. You will have access to the replay for seven days after the event.
   
   


 * DO YOU SUPPLY MATERIALS?
   
   
   The student is responsible for their own materials. Check out the materials
   list here. For acrylic classes you’ll also need a water container and some
   paper towels. Don’t worry if you don’t have the exact materials. Whatever you
   have handy will work. For Procreate classes you need a compatible iPad and
   Apple Pencil (preferred) or another stylus. See this page for more details.
   
   


 * WILL I BE ABLE TO ASK QUESTIONS DURING CLASS?
   
   
   Yes! Absolutely! You can ask questions both in the chat box and live with me
   via your webcam and/or microphone.
   
   


 * DO I HAVE TO BE ON CAMERA?
   
   
   Nope! You can choose to leave your video turned off and only have your
   microphone turned on, or turn both off and just watch. You can ask questions
   via the chat box.
   
   


 * HOW DOES A ZOOM MEETING WORK?
   
   
   Watching a class in Zoom is as easy as clicking on a link in your email. See
   this page for complete information on Zoom.
   
   


 * WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY?
   
   
   I know things come up last minute and plans change. So your fee entitles you
   to watch a replay of the class for seven days after the class date.
   Unfortunately, no refunds are given for missed classes or no shows.
