LOCAL SOCCER

Come join the Strikers at one of our many soccer-playing opportunities
throughout the year.

 

Fall Thursday League - Registration opens soon

The Strikers Fall League will return in September, at Roberts Playground in
Dorchester. All skill levels are welcome to this all-Strikers, social league.
Fall League is played on turf fields, 7v7 including a goalie. 

Sunday Practices - Returns in September

Sunday Soccer offers a chance for players to kick the ball around with friends
and make new ones. Sunday Soccer is a great way for newcomers to see what the
Strikers are all about in a relaxed and fun environment and we welcome players
of all experiences/skill levels.

Wednesday League - In Progress

The Strikers 7v7 league is a social league that welcomes all skill levels. The
league starts with open play on May 8, followed by two 6-week seasons. After
each session, players and friends are invited to join the Strikers at our
sponsor bar, Cathedral Station in the South End, for some drinks and fun.
Registration for this league is now closed. 

BSSC 7v7

Boston Ski and Sports Club (BSSC) is an adult sports league in Boston which
offers various types of league play throughout the year, and the Strikers
regularly field teams in this external league, facing off against teams outside
of the Strikers.

There is currently one BSSC season in progress, and we are gathering interest in
fielding a team for BSSC's upcoming soccer leagues, including co-ed leagues.

Every winter, the Strikers retreat from the harsh outdoors for some fun and fast
indoor play on Saturdays. This league is played in Revere, MA with games
consisting of two halves of 25 minutes each. We play with boards so the gameplay
is quicker and more appropriate for those with some soccer experience.


TOURNAMENTS

The Strikers also offer opportunities for our players to travel around the US
(and the world!) to showcase our skills and make memories that last a lifetime.
Check out the various tournaments offered by LGBT clubs all over and let us know
through our travel tournaments page if you are interested in joining us.

SOCIAL

Strikers Foot Golf

Tentative
Quail Ridge Country Club, Acton

Our annual foot golf outing is being scheduled. More details will be announced
once the schedule is confirmed.

If you're a foot golf virgin, don't fret! The rules are very simple, and align
with real golf. At the end of the day, just kick it in the hole with the fewest
strokes and have fun. We play with a size 5 soccer ball on shortened holes with
a 21-inch diameter hole.

BOSTON STRIKERS

We build a community for LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies in the Greater Boston
area by fostering friendships, a fun atmosphere, and healthy competition through
soccer inclusive of race, skill level, gender, gender identity, religion,
socioeconomic status, and age.

The Boston Strikers Soccer Club is a 501(c)(3) non-profit
organization established in 1987 to give LGBT soccer players the opportunity to
connect outside the traditional bar scene.  To this day, the club strives to
offer players a space to make friendships through a sport that we all love.  The
club runs leagues for all skill levels throughout the year.  We recommend trying
out one of our Sunday Soccer Practices as an introduction to the league to see
if you like what we're about.  Interested in receiving emails about upcoming
