Despite the ongoing pressures of inflation, holiday shoppers weren't clutching
their wallets when it came to gift giving and holiday fun.

SENTARA GAVE MILLIONS TO COMMUNITY PARTNERS IN 2023

Sentara Martha Jefferson Hospital donated over a million dollars to community
partners this year. They allocated the money between 44 groups in the
Charlottesville area.

INMATES FACING CHARGES FOR ASSAULT ON ANOTHER INMATE

Two inmates are facing charges for an assault at the Albemarle-Charlottesville
Regional Jail. The Albemarle County Police Department reports the incident
occurred on Dec. 8.

MAN FACING MULTIPLE CHARGES AFTER POLICE PURSUIT AND HIT-AND-RUN

A man has been arrested after a pursuit on Tuesday. The incident started around
3:10 p.m. when ACPD officers attempted to stop a vehicle in the area of Seminole
Trail and Woodbrook Drive.
