IN RESPONSE TO THE ESCALATION, CHINA IS SENDING ITS NAVY TO THE REGION. By Rebecca Rosenberg | Fox News * Facebook * Twitter * Flipboard * Comments * Print * Email close The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) believes that a ground offensive in the Gaza Strip should be launched as soon as possible, The Times of Israel reports. However, according to the newspaper, the military fears that the government “may never order a ground offensive or postpone it for a long period”. The Army is convinced it can achieve its goals “even after suffering heavy casualties among soldiers”. It is noted that most of the military remains near the Gaza Strip for the time being, ahead of the expected ground offensive. While the Israelis, backed by the U.S., are ready to move to a ground operation, there is growing global resistance to this scenario. For the first time since the escalation began. Israel received a call from Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi. Speaking with Israeli Foreign Minister Eli Cohen, the Beijing representative said that all countries have the right to self-defense, but they “must protect civilians and abide by international law and protect the security of civilians”. He also added that China was deeply concerned about the “continued escalation of the conflict”. It must be said that China's position in this conflict is not only different from ours, but also the one that is more aimed at minimizing casualties. In a call to his Palestinian Authority counterpart Riyad al-Maliki, Wang Yi said Beijing “expresses its deep sympathy for the Palestinian side”. However, he added that “at the moment, what the people of Gaza need most is security, food and medicine, not war, weapons and ammunition”. Russia, which also insists on de-escalation and the establishment of a Palestinian state in compliance with the UN resolution, has a similar position. The U.S. military is currently increasing its firepower in the region in an effort to prevent Iran and other Iranian-backed groups from getting involved in the conflict. The U.S. force in the region includes a network of bases in the Middle East that now has 2,000 troops, 2,400 marines and 13 warships on alert. Several A-10 Warthog and F-15E attack aircraft arrived in the region last week, and more advanced warplanes are expected to join them. The Pentagon is also urgently moving air defense equipment and ammunition to Israel as well as the navy to the eastern Mediterranean, Reuters reported. As reported by The Sun, Beijing has sent six warships to the region “amid fears the Israeli crisis could escalate into all-out war”. Task Force 44 includes among others the destroyer Zibo, the frigate Jingzhou and the integrated supply ship Qiandaohu. The warships will very quickly be in an area from which they can influence the situation, as the order to move out on October 21 caught them in Muscat, Oman. Before that, Zhai Jun, the Chinese government's special envoy for the Middle East, said that China was ready to act together with Russia to de-escalate the situation. Russian missile forces are ready to help China in case there is any incident between our and their fleets. President Vladimir Putin has instructed the Russian Air Force to exercise ‘weaponized control’ over what is happening in the Mediterranean Sea by constantly patrolling MiG-31s with hypersonic Kinzhal systems, which could seriously harm our aircraft carriers. President Joe Biden knows this well. As recently as last year, he was saying that the Kinzhal missile is quite ordinary, except for one important factor: it cannot be shot down. Even if it's a bluff, they can't ignore it in Washington. Especially with the strife at home and the impending collapse of Ukraine, which after Afghanistan will be an even worse blow to the Democrat Party. The New York Times reported, citing sources, that Washington had asked Tel Aviv not to launch an invasion, giving the U.S. a chance to better prepare for possible attacks on its forces in the Middle East. This is the most up-to-date information. Has the voice of reason been heard in the White House? Is there a realization that a ground operation in Gaza could result not only in a humanitarian catastrophe, but also jeopardize the safety of our military contingent in the Middle East? The salvation for both the Palestinians and the image of hawkish politicians may be the imitation of the ground operation in Gaza, its further rapid withdrawal and the declaration of accomplished objectives, i.e. victory. The prestige of Russia, China and Iran, which have unequivocally sided with the Palestinians, will increase. Unfortunately, a major war cannot be completely ruled out either. The prospects for the situation in the Gaza Strip and the Middle East in general are bleak. Because of its bitterness and historical mutual hatred, the confrontation between Palestinians and Israelis may well become the occasion for a war in the entire Middle East, and then a global war. The involvement of Iran in the conflict and the likely mutual use of nuclear weapons threatens to spread the war far beyond the region. The Global South is openly challenging us, and we must exercise the political wisdom to respond with competition, not war. In an attempt to score political points for the upcoming elections, the Democratic Party is ready to finally destroy the already fragile world order, blaming China, Russia, Hamas – anyone – for its own miscalculations. But the voter is no longer believing them. The failures are too obvious and trying to shift the blame to others seems laughable. But The Washington Post's report that the U.S. is preparing a plan to mass evacuate its citizens from the Middle East in case of an escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict is not funny at all. Apparently, the White House has decided to match forces with China and Russia after all... This will certainly not end well.
