SMELLY AND SLIPPERY
The mat is beautiful (got the tri-colored one on sale) and it's very
cushy. However, the rubber smell has not dissipated after more than a
week. Worst of all, I can feel my hands slipping in down dog which is
not a problem I had with my previous mat.

WHERE’S THE STRIPE?
I ordered the deep sea stripe excited to get the fun three colors. It
came in solid dark green. Disappointed I wasted time researching and
looking for a new mat to end up with this instead.

EXCELLENT YOGA MAT UPGRADE
I upgraded my yoga mat after years of using a foam one, and could NOT be
happier. This mat is thick, does not get bent out of shape easily, and
has a lot of grip so the mat doesn't slide around on the floor (great
for more cardio oriented activities) and easy for you to stay in place
for yoga or any other activity that you might be doing. Other reviews
mentioned a really bad smell that they couldn't get rid of, but to be
honest I did not experience that. There was a slight smell of rubber,
not noticeable unless your face was inches from the mat, but even then
not bad. Basically smelled like being in a yoga studio, which I missed.
Plus the color is GORGEOUS! I am so thrilled with this mat both for yoga
and other workouts that I do. Would HIGHLY recommend this mat!

NICE MAT BUT IT SMELLS REALLY BAD!!
I recently bought this mat after my Amazon mat literally got a hole in
it. I was super excited that this mat used natural rubber and was from a
reputable brand. Overall, I think that the mat itself works as expected.
It has decent grip and is long enough for me to do yoga on. However, it
smells really bad!! That’s the first thing I thought when pulling it out
of the box and the smell has not gone away. The mat has been out on my
covered patio for 24 hours now and still smells. I’ve done yoga on it
outside but as soon as I bring it in it stinks up the whole place.
Hopefully, the smell goes away soon or I won’t be able to bring it to
yoga classes or I might return it. For now, I’m giving it the benefit of
the doubt. The mat is technically fine and it’s working as long as I
don’t use it inside.

THE BEST YOGA MAT I'VE OWNED IN 10+ YEARS
This is my 2nd Manduka mat, and while the eKO Lite is lightweight
overall, it is very sturdy and high-quality. The only reason why I
bought this new one is my dog destroyed my older one - otherwise these
mats will last practically a lifetime!
The grip is the best I've found - even better than lululemon. I chose
the Surfed Marble color and it is beautiful/relaxing to look at. There
definitely is a strong rubber scent that will last for several months,
unless perhaps you choose to air it outside (which I did not).

BEAUTIFUL YOGA MAT!
I love my Manduka eKO lite yoga mat! It's sufficiently sticky to keep me
from sliding in my downward dog and warrior poses. The bottom surface is
also sticky and prevents the mat from sliding during practice. I love
the look and feel of the material. I highly recommend giving this mat a
try!

EXCELLENT MAP
This mat provides the perfect balance between grip and padding. The
biodegradable natural rubber makes one feel good about feeling good. The
packaging does warn about the strong rubber scent when first opened, as
well as recommendation for cleaning with mixture of water and vinegar.

LOVE.
I love my new mat! The purple version has reviews on the smell being
bad, but I am pregnant and hardly smelled anything until my face was
right up against the mat. To me it just smells like a normal yoga mat
and better because there's no sweat seeped into it (yet). The non-slip
is so clutch. I like the slight cushion, though. It felt nice to walk
onto. That was a pleasant surprise I wasn't expecting (my last mat was a
rock.) I also really like the pattern/color, like another review said.
AND it came two days ahead of schedule. I live right next to an Amazon
distribution center, so maybe REI uses their logistics? Anyway, can't
wait to break this baby in!
