WHAT'S A YOUNG AUTHORS FAIR ?

An exciting and fun way to encourage students of your school to become Young
Published Authors and in turn enrich your school library with 1000s of books,
written by your students for the future generations of students. Young Authors’
events provide each student with a lifelong souvenir (their printed books), a
speaking opportunity, a writing experience, and the likelihood of becoming
lifelong readers and writers.

HOW IT WORKS?

The entire project is done on BriBooks.com using computers or tablets where
students go through an experiential writing process (First Draft- Revising-
Editing- Publishing- Sharing- Selling).

Once the students complete the book writing journey by publishing their books,
they start a short marketing/ promotional journey in which they promote and try
to sell as many copies of their book as possible. Once the pre-sale cycle is
over, BriBooks will print and send the books to the school together with the
authors' posters and QR codes.



On the exhibition day, parents & guests visit the school and walk between the
authors’ stations, listening to students’ creative stories.

Students/parents/guests can also purchase additional books by scanning the
specified QR codes generated for the Authors’ copies.



Some authors are also invited to the stage to share their experience of book
writing, the inspiration behind their stories, and their exciting journey to
becoming Published Authors in the “authors’ interviews”.

The students and the school library also get to keep free copies, and free book
posters and share their books online.




TIMELINE FOR BOOK WRITING COMPETITION


WEEK 0

Contact BriBooks.com for an onboarding process and
we will provide your school/class with a school
code + announcement text/email with which the school will register for the Young
Authors’ Fair


WEEK 1

An email/message will be sent to all the relevant parents by the school’s
Principal/Librarian/Teacher, inviting the kids to register online, write a book,
and complete it within a few weeks of the announcement


WEEK 2-8

During this month we will help you with drafting reminders and other
announcements that will encourage more students to publish their books on
time.The invited students will register for the Event during these weeks. The
registered students will write-review-edit and Publish their books within this
period.


WEEK 9-14

As soon as we cross the deadline, BriBooks will send you a link leading to your
school/class book store where all the registered students can view the books
that were published & where the parents/friends/family/sponsors can pre-order
the books of the students - this pre-ordering books store will be open for 6
weeks - This is the time to promote/advertise the event with posters and share
your books on all your communication platforms.


WEEK 15-17 (EST)

Now, BriBooks will ship the books that were sold online to your school. We will
also include a free book poster for each author & one free book for the school
library


WEEK 18

An email /message will be sent to all the relevant parents by the school’s
Principal/Librarian/Teacher, inviting the kids to the Young Author’s Fair and
the Award felicitation ceremony within the school premises.




WHAT’S NEXT


AUTHORS DAY

Young Authors’ fair and the Award felicitation ceremony for all the Young
Authors who have published their books. The students will present their books.
People that Pre-purchased the books will come to collect the books & the authors
will use their QR codes to sell more books (that will be shipped directly to the
buyers) - The students can also sell their free copies for cash.


AWARDS FELICITATION

The awards will be distributed to the Young Authors based on two categories:
JURY AWARDS: The jury award is the award given to the top 3 Best Authors based
on their comprehensive skills and creative writing abilities.
BEST SELLER AWARDS: The top 3 Best Selling Authors will receive the award for
selling the maximum number of copies during the Young Authors’ Fair


LIBRARY DAY

It is highly recommended to hold another event a few days later for the kids at
the school library in which the new Library shelve/shelves with their books will
be exposed (like a ribbon cutting event)


THE FINANCIAL SYSTEM

The BriBooks system is completely free for Schools.

For every book that students sell online during the 2 week selling race (or
during the event), The Author will receive the Royalty amount according to the
number of books sold online.
