NASA’S X-57 MAXWELL GROUND VIBRATION TESTING

 

Dear Mr. LIMBERGER,

 

It’s not only automobiles that are going electric – aircrafts are as well! To
prove that aircraft can be electrically powered, enabling lower energy
consumption, emissions, and noise, NASA has developed the X-57 Maxwell. It is
the first all-electric X-plane!
 

To ensure safe flight operations, NASA built a model of the aircraft to simulate
the loads the aircraft would be subjected to during a real flight using ground
vibration tests. Learn how our accelerometers,  LAN-XI data acquisition system,
and BK Connect® software helped NASA analyze data from 191 test runs using 14
different test configurations.
