5g cell towers are a brand new type of antenna that's being utilized by wireless
companies to provide internet services. They're more capable than 4g towers, and
they can be much bigger and stronger.

Many cities are becoming concerned that these towers may harm their residents.
The concerns are related to privacy, health and aesthetic issues.
They're bigger

In 5G, the frequency of radio signals is higher than 4G- which means that it
requires more towers to transmit information. This can increase the amount of
radiation that is released into the environment.

This is a big issue for HOA communities as well as business owners, real
property investors, and others concerned about the negative health impacts. They
worry that adding more 5G towers could lower the value of properties and
adversely impact public health.

The only way to fix this is to change how we communicate - through WiFi instead
of conventional mobile networks. It's unlikely to occur overnight but it will
happen eventually.

But how will that be achieved? What can we do to ensure that it is safe? The
answer is in the technology of a cell tower called small cells.
They're more expensive

If you're living in an urban area, you've likely observed large towers of
cellular equipment that sit on top of masts and buildings. These are cell towers
with 4G and they're used to provide wireless networks to the surrounding
regions.

They're typically 50-200 feet talland are constructed to blend into the
environment to reduce their visual impact. As opposed to 4G, 5G technology
requires a greater density of tower coverage in order to cover a wider area.




The dense cell sites could be challenging to maintain since they must be
continuously active and offering speedy speeds. In the end, they're more
expensive than other kinds of towers.

However, if you're a tower owner , or mobile network operator, it makes sense to
upgrade your current towers to 5G, in anticipation of new technologies coming to
market. Incorporating these latest technologies into existing sites can help
enhance the capabilities of your site and eventually result in more revenue for
you.

One of the most significant concerns about 5g towers is that they emit more RF
radiation than other kinds of towers. They have to be placed more densely across
an area to ensure that they are covered.

The RF waves given off by cell phone towers don't possess enough power to cause
damage to DNA directly or heat tissues of the body, however they do degrade
chemical bonds in DNA, which can cause cell damage and even cancer.

It is a reason to be concerned about the possibility that living close to the 5G
tower could cause adverse health effects.

The reason is that the 5g towers tend to be situated near to schools and homes,
which can emit radiofrequency waves constantly. That means that they will be
closer to you than ever before and there is a greater chance that radiation from
them will be absorbed into your body.
They're Not Necessary

5G networks rely on a new part of the radio spectrum that can transmit data.

waves. They're much shorter than traditional radio waves at less than 1 to 10
millimeters in length, so they are more frequent and can transmit more energy.

In order to provide the super-fast speed and low latency that 5G promises, you

cell phones to cover cities, roads as well as business districts, colleges and
even farms.

However, there are other options for delivering speedy internet services in
heavily populated areas. One option is to create small cell stations that are
densely spread to reduce coverage gaps.

However, the biggest concern is where these tiny cells will be placed and the
impact they'll have on residents. Local governments and residents are working to
determine ways to block these structures or stop them from happening in their
communities.
