WHAT IS CRISISCOORDINATOR™?

Multiple government entity associations, insurance pools, and organizations
worked with CrisisRisk to support development of the CrisisCoordinator
Certification Program™. The CrisisCoordinator e-learning training and
certification has been designed to familiarize a CrisisCoordinator in each local
government entity with the information needed to alert and support leadership
before, during and after a crisis.

WHAT IS CRISISRISK™?

CrisisRisk works with leaders and boards of directors to identify emerging
threats and vulnerabilities which put critical assets at risk — people,
reputation, brand, key relationships, and financials. We develop strategies for
mitigating those risks by preparing and supporting leadership teams to know when
to get involved, make decisions, take actions, and communicate effectively.

DESIGNED TO EMPOWER

THE MEERKAT ANALOGY

The Meerkat is an appropriate analogy to a CrisisCoordinator. Meerkats are
continually alert and sensing danger. One family member is always standing
guard. They use a broad variety of calls to communicate among one another for
different purposes, for example to raise alarm on sighting a threat. If a
meerkat senses danger, it will bark to alert the others. Like the Meerkat, a
CrisisCoordinator is also looking for warning signs that may indicate a
potential crisis is looming and Alert Leadership. Meerkats, like
CrisisCoordinators, stand sentinel to alert warning signs of things that could
harm the pack.
